I had my aunt Judy get mymom a hibiscus tree for me, cause my mom loves flowers and there's hibiscus everywhere out here.

To be honest, I don't have any special plans for Mother's Day. I spend a lot of time with her anyway (she lives literally down the street from me), and I don't think she wants any kind of big deal made. Gee - now I feel bad for not doing something big.

i feel really bad, i'm leaving for NY saturday nite or sunday, so i'm not even gonna home for mother's day i am giving her a card from me, and a card from the cats, and flowers before i go.

I'm doing alright. Actually, this site is helping improve my mood. Lots of nice people. Sucks to be so far away from most of them. I tell myself if I lived in Toronto still, I'd be going to the gala, but then realize that I could live down the street from it, and would debate whether to go.

My mom is a bit of a lifeline for me too. Not just in the biological sense. So maybe I should figure out something to do for her.

That's an awesome card. I haven't decided what I will do for my mother. I think I'm going to buy her this fuzzy stuffed tiger. I don't know what else I'll find to go with it.

I think that's fan-fucking-tastic that you are going all out for your mum this year! I always make my own cards, more personal, and i always fill them with sweet words, and she keeps them all.
I got my mum a lil' silver clock and i've got to work on my card tomorrow. We've planned to have a picnic at the beach and do a little hike and lay about on the sand, it should be a nice day.

well, i've learnt something new today. i never realised that mother's day was on a different day over there. it's in march in the uk.

i always make cards, i haven't actually shelled out to one of those nasty greeting card companies for years (i'm just cheap, ha ha)

that sky/death picture is kinda freaky..reminds me of the sky before tornados touch down.

how did you get so into birds? i've always loved them, but i'm sortof intimidated by them...i really want a pair of lovebirds one day.

That death pic is very cool. No i am not doing anything for my mom. I have been so worried about myself lately i knew it was coming and i didn't to get anything until my mom told me that brother had sent her something.
