Just over a year ago, I was in a car crash. No one was seriously hurt, but the car was a write off and I got a few cracked ribs and a burn across my chest from the seatbelt.

I spent a week or so laid up, and while I was recovering I didn't have much appetite and struggled to eat. The only thing that made me feel better was Diet Coke. Even after I was fuly healed, I couldn't kick the habit, and now I have a bit of an addiction. I get headaches and bad moods when I try to stop, so I'm trying to cut down slowly. Any tips?

A year ago today my set shot by Albertine went into Member Review.

Secret Windows

If you liked it, I'd love to hear from you.

is the first time i hear that someone is kind of addicted to diet coke...maybe you need to eat more fruits so you get the sugar your body needs

I would just steadily reduce the amount you are drinking every week, replacing what you would normally have with water. That way you're still taking in fluids, but you'll gradually kick the habit. If you need extra sugar have some fruit juice.

I did this with caffeine a few years ago, I was drinking far too much at art college and started getting headaches and palpitations - did exactly this and after a while I didn't depend on it any more (in fact I gave up all caffeine drinks altogether for around 6 months) x

About the diet coke thing, I stopped, but replaced it with tea, the headaches are caffeine withdrawal.

I looked at your new set and I must say, you are more beautiful than ever!lovelove

Smoothies with banana in? Lots of fruit sugars and potassium to keep you happy… I should warn you I'm basing this on no scientific evidence or experience whatsoever, but I have a gut feeling about it. smile

Maybe switch to coffee or tea. I'm sure when you try to stop it's the lack of caffeine that gives you headaches. I used to drink nothing but soda. I started drinking bottled green tea so that I could still have the caffiene without so much sugar. That helped. Now I'm down to a can a day.

I'm sure you don't want to hear from me, but that set is your best to date and one of the best things on the site. Hope you're well!

I find it a crime, a CRIME, that secret window has languished in MR for over a year! Fantastic set and I make it a point to look at it at least once a week.

Secret Windows is a gorgeous set, and I love it. I also really miss an earlier set you had in member review, which featured an orange dress. That was my favorite of all your (amazing) sets, and I would really like to see it again.
