I've lived here my whole life and I've become really accustomed to the cost of things. If I moved anywhere else, I'd be a bajillionaire. I think it's kinda like learning music on a really crappy acoustic guitar that you never took care of, then switching over to a fine electric: the stuff it took to make you good on the acoustic makes you GREAT on the electric.

But yeah, there are a lot of luxuries in this area that are pretty sweet, if you're into that stuff.

Just remember, things are expensive because people want to be there. I live near boston and things are expensive ehre too. But there are good reason's why. It's mostly population density. Don't worry about missing the small and inexpesive. It has it's charm but in the end you'll be happier in the City, with so much to do, and so many cool people you'll understand soon enough why everyone wants to be there.

Yea I rented Helter Skelter after reading the book.....along with a documentary with all this home video of the ranch that was taken during the trial........had Squeaky and a few others running around with guns with fresh crosses burnt in their heads talking about killing everyone who stands in their way, etc........fucking nutcases! I love true crime books. I just read the Night Stalker, and also the Stranger Beside Me........Richard Ramirez is the worst of them all......and Ted Bundy is one of the sickest! Ick

I drove to frisco to see turbo ..... it was rad.. i drank a little too much at the zeitgeist... but from what i remember .. the great american music hall was rad .. and there were tons of people from norway..because turbo and levis flew em there... they filmed some of "sell your body to the night" that night and hopefully i got into a couple of shots.. i was wearing my rhine stone glasses and every thing... the new album.. is about half good... some of the stuff is way too pop.
