Has anyone bought the new SG book "Hard Girls Soft Light"? I keep having people bug me about whether I'm in it or not. Will be giving lots of smooches to the first person to tell me if I'm in it or not.

Looks like I'm going to be applying to volunteer at the local correctional centers clinic or educational program.
Seems like a really good place to volunteer, gain experience and help some people out when they need it the most. Apparently it also counts as employment without pay, so it keeps the large gaps out of my employment history. I think both the clinic and the education program are places that incarcerated peoples can feel like "normal" people, not just numbers. Have any of you been incarcerated? what do you think of these programs and me volunteering in them?

YAY! I'm finally home. Feel like a weight has been lifted and the clouds have parted. Feels so good to be home. Deff going to be hitting the ground running this quarter. I'm taking the last of the general biology classes, biology of women and ceramics. Should have plenty of time so sit in on chem classes and work on scholarship applications.

In sexier news I should be doing a new set here soon. Don't know about theme or location. Any ideas?? Figured I'm here because you all like me getting naked for you; therefore, requests on outfits and themes are more than welcome. What do YOU think is sexy?

Last post of 2012, been through a lot this year but over all feeling pretty good. Next year is looking pretty good. starting off the year with a sinus infection but nothing new there. I should be finding out if I'm in the latest SG book sometime in Jan, then my new set is coming out in February. what better way to start the year can an SG hope for?? well I guess front page in March would be nice

survived the worst christmas. Long story short I was told to never give my opinion again or I would be risking getting cut off from my parents.

It's interesting how people can say that they love you, and maybe even believe it, but they have no concept or who you really are. They are so far outside of understanding who I am that they would have to look up the words that I use to identify myself lol.

Good news is that a hot boy is swinging by tomorrow to give me a respite from logic void that is my family. after that I only have one week left.

still have a lot of stuff for school left to do. summer programs to apply for, scholarships, and grad schools to look into.

in other news i hear that the new SG book "hard girls soft light" was announced. Idk if I'm in it or not but I replied back to all of their questions. would be pretty damn cool to be in the book, but as with most things I'm remaining cautiously optimistic would whomever gets the first copy in let me know one way or another?

Flying out to SC tomorrow. Love flying, just don't like the stress and the airlines trying to bleed me dry. I'm opting for the pat down because I like my DNA in tact, thank you very much. Also going taking only a carry on then borrowing clothes from the fam, or shopping at thrift stores. would rather spend my 60 bucks that way

So good news on the worm front ( yes there is a worm front now). Looks like the soil expert that I have been working with can not identify my little guys so she wants me to send a few of them to the authority on earthworm taxonomy in the western US. Which is an introduction that I would never turn down. Feel like I'm getting pretty far from an undergrad.

On a totally different topic. Is anyone else HATING these new high-waisted granny panties the girls are wearing in their sets ?? I'm sure that it's supposed to be retro hotness and I'm sure some ppl think they are great. I just feel like they were trapped in their gran's house and had to use what was there to do a set.


I've always had a fantasy about meeting someone incredibly hot in an airport and sparking up long distance relationship full of intellectual stimulation and passion. Just in case I always dress well, you never know when you will run into one of your soul-mates

So it's finals week and as soon as that is over I'm flying to SC to spend the holidays with the fam . Not sure if I'll be able to blog from there because they are crazy southern baptists and god only knows how many blockers they have on their internet. But don't worry...I'll be thinking of you

So in worm news land...My prof is going to keep working with me even though I'm not signed up for credits (which means she's not getting payed for it) on my cave worm project. We are taking it a HUGE step forward and she wants me to apply for a grant so that when the cave opens up in May we can do some stable isotope analysis and a survey to see if the worms are only in the cave or also in the surrounding area. LOTs of work to be done between now and May but it's pretty exciting.

on the bad news front I didn't get into the Notre Dame summer program at UNDERC. but there are lots of other summer programs I'm going to be trying for. Hopefully I will have lots of field, research, and lab experience by the time I graduate. Which I will really need for when I'm applying for very hard to get into programs at UPenn and Harvard
