OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!! eeek

I was hired for a summer job counting and identifying insects in the Stream Ecology part of the Invertebrate Laboratory! I'm earning credits instead of money but right now that's fine by me because that means I will be graduating that much earlier. Really excited about doing taxonomy. shocked Also in the news for this summer, I'm going to be taking "biological investigation" running experiments and writing a paper. Also a class called Art and Ideas which tracks how certain concepts effected philosophy, art, architecture, interior design, ect. And I'm going on a biological/geological research trip to Mt. St. Helens, that is going to be camping the entire time.

Other non-school related plans for the summer include a canoe and fossil hunting trip up to Cannada, renting a fire cabin for a long weekend with a supper sexy guy, and going on an awesome road trip down to AZ and then back up through CA and OR.

This summer is going to be one of the best. Really busy but totally and completely worth it!

The social skills portion is soon to be taken up by obscure bug knowledge. So don't expect any social skills out of me what-so-ever starting in the middle of June.

Amazing, that job sounds awesome! I just started working in a lab that studies fluorescence in spiders and other arachnid related things. Right now I'm just photographing thomisids under different wavelengths but I might be able to study jumping spider mating behavior later on. Yay, science!
