Decided to try my had at depressing poetry, it's very basic but it got some creativity out of my system

THE GOOD 'OLE DAYS

Once upon a time

when dreams were real

and wishes meant something

prayers worked

and people could drink salt water

people felt powerful just by doing the right thing

and every person was a master of communication

wars stopped when someone got hurt

and living things were all beautiful

They never through anyone overboard

and always used their turn signals

No one was left to their fate

and every baby had 10 fingers and 10 toes

They always let the best person for the job do the job

and the more they loved something the longer it lived

all children were innocent

and criminals had codes of honor

it only ever rained to water the crops

and the wind only ever blew to cool hot skin

people never ate other people

and coffee didn't stain your teeth

tattoos were painless and removable

and all mothers had children

every meal was romantic

and all men were warriors

there were no walls to separate lovers

and everyone dreamed
