I like Ellen Page's ability to make me pay attention with her monotone completely-thrilled-to-fucking-death-all-the-time voice. I just like that lil one.
The movie isn't too terrible, but the soundtrack is really fucking good. I've never heard a Patti Smith cover i liked (i think it's blasphemous to cover Patti and think you can come anywhere near it) BUT The horses cover is fucking good!

I miss the TONS of beautiful, amazing, kickass ladies who were in town this past week. You gals wore me out so much I am still recovering!!! Thank you!

DJMoxy and I broke our fucking backs to see them at Pacha in NYC after a Bloc Party show eons ago... I never thought I'd see them at home....strange.
Finally CMh gets in to a good enough musical mind to get great acts in....ooh and we're on the list for Aoki which fucking rocks!!!

I am getting my sleeve finished in October... (thx for fitting me in Durb)
Moxy has a track releasing with Yo Majesty .... Hott.(it is!!)
and I am stillllll apartment hunting...but apparently not actively enough....maybe I don't want to move.

my brain is on autopilot.....
I was thinking about the madness of the past couple months and what's in store for the next few.....
So......here are my thoughts.....stream-of-consciousness...

-I really dig riding my bike. It's an SE Draft, single speed/city road bike. It started as an economical/excersize thing....but has actually led to some really amazing experiences....experiences I never would have had without it.
-I think I should be an official spokesperson for Seagull Bags They are the most amazing custom made messenger bags in the world! an example:

I sent them an image of my lightning bolt tattoo and they custom made my bag with it on the front flap!!

-It was really stressful to work all this time thinking i was losing one of my bars.....BUT...East Village is staying open! This is awesome news! I can't wait to see what we can do with the space now that it has been given a second chance!
-EV has already hosted a really great event. I can't wait for the next one! Check out Dr Sketchy's Chances are, wherever you are, there's one near you!!!

-something I am not so sure of...
I have seen these guys everywhere....but never actually heard them. (plus, I don't watch the TV anymore...so i have to seek it out)

So, I just spent the last two weekends there and it blows. This is not an exaggeration.
I actually had some little twink fag tell me

then.....proceeded to cut him off at the bar. I mean CLEARLY he was so intoxicated that his jugdement was impaired.
I'm SO sorry that he was not used to a queer gal with more style than him. It's like being there, I needed to wear a sign: "YES, I AM A LESBIAN. I KNOW I AM NOT WEARING A VISOR OR AN INDIANS JERSEY...I AM VERY CONFUSING TO YOU> MOVE ON."

WHEW: so glad that is over.
SO......I went up there (hell) to work. fired a couple managers, turned 2 entire bars around in 7 days and then....off to NYC!
got to see Goldfrapp (6th row. i'm in love with Allison. She is a goddess)



saw an AMAZING exhibition of Warhol/Basquiat Collabs
here's one that made me cry:

in person: I always get an electric feeling around Basquiat's work. It overwhelms me.

So, anyway....that sums up my last couple of weeks. Lots of work, very little, albeit intense, play.
