I had to take my computer into the shop on a count of it being fucked on viruses. Got to say, it's nice to be back. I know sometimes it feels like life sans internet is akin to the ninth circle of hell, but somehow I came through without my daily dose of boobies and bums.
When I checked my email for the first time in about six days, I saw waiting for me in my inbox an invite for a personal interview for the university I want to get into, so that was nice! I want to get into the film program, and it's a long and competitive process to be accepted, including a personal interview. TBH, I was a bit worried that they weren't going to even get back to me on that, but I few nights ago I had a dream that they did get back to me, and my dreams are usually pretty good at predicting the future. When I was a hopeful, I had a dream that I was posting in pink, and well, look what happened.
I've also been having a lot of sex dreams lately, so here's hoping I get a lot of that in my near future.
Not much else to report from base camp. Rehearsals for the brothers' birthday bash are in full swing. Got my two cool cousins already out, and the metalhead coming out Thursday morning.
Have a very cool shoot booked with a guy who does super cool visual work. Think life sculpture; me in clay and paint.
Happy Zombie Jesus weekend everybody! What a wonderful time to celebrate heinous Biblical happenings.
So the 6%DOKIDOKI fashion show was AMAZEBALLS. There were a lot of super cute Harajuku girls there. Seeing them all in a place like Vancouver made me really happy. There were a couple of Lolitas, some Visual-kei girls, some decora girls, a gyaru-o boy here and there. No fairy-kei girls though I guess it's to be expected though, since that's a fairly recent style.
I was waiting outside the club when the designer, Sebastian Masuda and the shopgirls, Yuka and Vani came to say high. I had my hair up in the massive buns I wore a couple weeks back, and Yuka had her hair done up in the same style. She came over to me and we started talking. She was so cute ^v^
During the show, the shopgirls would come out and do really cute dances for the audience. They had props like teddy bears. When their set was over, they pulled up all the girls who were dressed up (including me!!) to dance on stage with them. It was super fun.
After the show, I got to meet Sebastian Masuda. He was so incredibly kind. We were talking, and when I told him that I was a SuicideGirl who went under the name "Harajuku", he took both of my hands in his, and said, "thank you". It was a very cool moment. I afterwards got him to sign my pin that I had bought.
Picture time!
New friends Emily & Viki :3

That shirt is massive on me NEVER WEARING IT AGAIN
Vani & Yuka

My friend Kyle came dressed as Ash Ketchum xD Love that guy, he's got such a great attitude.
Us with Vani & Yuka
Myself & Sebastian Masuda
The next day my cousin from Calgary came out to visit! I love her to bits. We're more like sisters, we pretty much grew up together and I love her with all my heart. The only thing standing in the way of us getting married is the fact that we're related.
Anyway we had adventures.
<333
It seems that I have a knack for picking out tops that make me look fucking pregnant :S
My 6%DOKIDOKI pin that Sebastian Masuda autographed, as well as my MIGHTY HARAJUKU PROJECT pin.
MIGHTY HARAJUKU was a project that Masuda created in the aftermath of the recent Japan earthquake & tsunami to to help the people in other parts of Japan who are most in need - and to give each other strength and support in a time of turmoil and uncertainty. I got it for donating money to the project. I wear these with me all the time now.
When we went back to my place, we had a hair dying party.
She dyes her armpit hair! XD How could you not love this girl?
Today my cousin got tattooed. We went to NEXT, which is the same place where Ceres got her chest piece done. I had my small behind the ear tat done there as well.
That's all for now. It's only friday though - the weekend is young and I expect that we shall have many more adventures before she has to go back home on sunday
In the meantime, I hope everyone has a delightful Zombie Jesus weekend. Here's a few little something's to get you in the holiday spirit:
Hello once again SG land. I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.
Finally had Hausstock on Saturday. It was a fundraiser [drugs by donation ] for Japan that my friend's frat haus put together. It was basically a bunch of us watching live concert DVD's [RATM, Queen, The Who, etc.], drinking, getting high as humanely possible and eating every fucking thing in site (as one is wont to do when one is high as fuck.)
^Me right nao.
Speaking of Japan, I am so excited for the 6%DOKIDOKI show tomorrow night! ^_^
I love this brand. Can't wait to see Yuka work her kawaii fierceness. Maybe I'll even get to meet Sebastian Masuda ^_^
I was downtown today getting my ticket for the aforementioned event. I was wearing my heart shaped sunglasses and as I walking down Granville, there were a couple of freestyle rappers rapping at the entrance to the Skytrain station. I didn't think much of it until as I passed, one guy started rapping about my sunglasses xD Don't remember exactly what he said, but it was something along the lines of "something something something, peace and love, like her sunglasses!"
On Wednesday, my best friend from Calgary is coming out until the 24th. So stoked to see her again! Last time we were together we saw Lady Gaga live back in August.
After that, we got my bro's 30th coming up. Our cousins and friends from the East are gonna come join us for a weekend of debauchery. Super excited that our friend Big Jim is coming. Gonna get my flirt on.
I made a Formspring recently. So ask me shit. Or not. It's your life, I'm not like your boss or anything.
I'm off to go do root maintenance now. I'll be reading this while I wait for my bleach to work its magic.
Mello is my spirit animal. I feel like if he was a chick, I would actually be that chick. I mean, we have the same haircut and all.
Hello SG land. Hope you all are doing well and had fierce weekends. Mine was pretty kickass.
Friday wasn't very eventful - just a drunk Skype date with some friends who live out in cow town. Saturday was awesome, though. Every year, Vancouver Improv Anywhere has an event that I always look forward to: the Silent Skytrain Dance Party. The premise is that volunteers would show up in a flash mob on the Skytrain listening to their own music on their mp3 players. Then, one by one, they would start dancing to their own music, leaving the general public confused and the elderly terrified.
On my way there, I saw the cutest little three legged dog. It was tiny and has short curly fur and it was just barking at the rock sitting in the sidewalk. This dog was like, "THAT IS A ROCK. I AM GOING TO BARK AT IT." It's master would then kick the rock about ten feet away and instead of running, this cute little dog would go hopping on it's little legs after this rock. I wanted to abduct it. It was the cutest dog ever.
Also, a cute boy on the bus asked for my number :3 he later confessed that he had stayed on two stops after the one he was supposed to get off on just so he could ask me. Dawwww.
So I arrived at the art gallery where the volunteers would all meet up before heading to the train station. I met up with my friend Paulo who has wicked fashion sense. We were all ready to go, but before we could go dancing, the organizers of the event had us do something more important first. In honor of Daffodil Month, benefiting the Canadian Cancer society, us volunteers were given white and yellow umbrellas and organized into the shape of a massive daffodil.
AND THEN CANCER WAS CURED FOREVER.
After that, it was finally dancing time! I found myself dancing to a very eclectic mix of Andrew WK, Lady Gaga, mc chris, L'Arc~en~Ciel, Blaqk Audio, Robin Skouteris, Nujabes, and the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann OST.
Having fun cuz this beat is sick.
This was me doing the Skytrain party the first year it was on. Oh, pink haired me.
Today was my day off and I have been listening to Nick 13's new song non stop. Oh man. I want him to him to come the fuck out of nowhere and steal a Grammy from Bieber.
I'm gonna jet off to bed now. Good night SG land.
Harajuku <3
Suffice to say, today has been particularly exciting for me today. Everyone of you is all super and it's really cool that when I'm old, I'll be able to say that I did something interesting like this when I was a young'un. A lot of the comments on the FB link to my set were saying how much I looked like an Elven princess, which was pretty much the highest compliment I think one could pay me, ahaha. Arwen has Aragorn, does that mean I can have Legolas?
Our relationship will be firmly built upon the strongholds of love, trust and hair care.
Aside from going pink, I have a lot of super fun and exciting things coming up in the coming weeks .... 6%DOKIDOKI fashion show on the 19th, Hausstock on the 16th, my best girlfriend coming out to visit over the Easter weekend, and in early May it's my big brothers' 30 (!!!!) birthday, so my cousins and friends from the East are gonna come visit. My brother and my cousins are musicians, my bro's an awesome singer, so they have a big show lined up, and my kickass metal friend Amplitusion is gonna be making his way out too.
This is pretty much how I feel about life right now:
In return for all of you being cool cats, I want to give you a video of my cool cat doing her trick:
Here's a fun one that my friend dusted off the archives. I did a dramatic reading of My Immortal and posted it on Facebook [later youtube], figured you might get a titter or two out of it.
Anyway, I'd say that's enough for now. I'm raring to kick out another set.
Until next time,
<3 Harajuku
