Gogo, you know much of what the Iroquois thought of wolves and full moons? They were from the Northeast and on my father's side (French Canadian) we have some Iroquois blood. They used to fascinate me as a teenager and I still really dig them but I've forgotten a lot. I know their form of checks and balances, three branch government was the model for the founding fathers government, the basic structure of what the UNited States government is to this day (White House, Congress, Senate. Also the relationship between states and the federal government). The Iroquois were actually more influential on the founding father's notions of democracy than the Greeks were. But I forget some of their spiritual beliefs. I know they were pretty bad ass and vicious when they needed to be. There's a good movie called Black Robe that is more about the Hurons (I think I got their name right) and this French Priest and so the perspective on the Iroquois is limited and unfortunately focuses on this long torture scene.

PS - Did you get your name Gogo from Samuel Beckett's play "Waiting for Godot"? One of the lead character's nickname is Gogo (Estragon is the stage name, and his friend Vladimir calls him Gogo. Vladimir is called in turn by Gogo - Didi. I would love to see a Sucide Girl pop up called Didi and you two could do a set together. Silly me ...
