Have you ever had a pet that you loved so much you considered it a major part of the family. Like, one of your closest family members?
When i was about 9 my parents bought a Golden Retriever puppy, Jake. No joke, i considered this dog in my top 10 best and closest family members, you know, the ones that you cant number cause you love them all the same. (parents, grandparents, siblings, etc) I 100% loved Jake like i do my sister. He was simply, the best.
When i was 18-19 Jake got sick with a cancer that filled his chest with fluid. It made him unable to breathe and he had to have it drained out. We did this for awhile. Everytime he couldnt sleep from not being able to breathe we would take him to the vet, a personal friend as well, and she would drain it and jake would pass out asleep. Trying to come with terms with everything i asked our vet what we were susposed to do. She said "when hes ready, he will let you know". He did just that. One day he cried all morning. I had to go to work and i think more then anything i was trying to put what had to happen behind me for the day. My mom called me at work more then once telling me i needed to come home. My shift was over anyways but this stupid bitch woulndt let me leave, even after my mom came to my work! I finally got home right as the vet did. Enough time for a hug and the "Everything will be ok" speech to Jake. Our vet came and did what she needed. She cried, we all cried.. and jake slipped away.
It was Valentines day.
We buried him in our family cemetery at my grandparents house.
I guess my point of this whole thing was to try and let people know how weird i think it is that animal cruelty exists. How can someone NOT love a dog or cat they have had for 10 years. How can they just push them aside or throw them out like trash rather they be dead or alive... I dont get it. I think the worst thing a person can say is "they/it are just animals"
Heartbreaking.
I miss jake more and more everyday. Sometimes i still go to my moms and think, "i have food, i bet jakes going to be happy" or thinking im going to walk in and hes going to be there... I hate living without him.

Hey everyone.
So, i have a favor to ask. My best friend and I are trying to raise money to help her little kitty. Oci is an amazing cat! He's always happy to see anyone and everyone and is always very interested. Not to long ago he started acting strange.. very down and out and lost a ton of weight. My best friends Shyan and Ryan took their little bundle of joy to the vet. His blood work suggested he had something wrong with his liver. He had to stay over night then was allowed home. After about 2 days of steroids and force feeding things started looking up. He started walking around, meowing, even trying to knead stuff!
His vet appointment yesterday didn't have the happy ending we were hopping for. His blood work came back the same and the Dr. said he was probably feeling better from the steroids. The had to do sugary to get a liver biopsy. The Dr. said they the tiny piece they needed practically fell off. Definately not a good sign!
He's now back home waiting for tuesday to get the results. He now has a tube in his throat to be fed with.
My loved friends have racked up a good amount of debt in vet bills from just 2 visits! If you have ever had an animal in this situation, like me and my friends, you know how hard it is to watch your child suffer and not be able to help. I can tell Oci feel awful and it breaks my heart.
So, heres the favor. Shyan has started a fundraiser for Oci online! Its simple, i gave with no problems at all!
It dosnt matter if its a dollar or 100, trust me it helps! Shyan has made his profile with his whole story and vet check updates! You can see pictures and even call the vet if you're not sure!
