Keeping up on blogs is not as easy as it seems. Life always seems to get in the way. I cant keep up on my pen pals either. Maybe im just lazy.
I am getting ready for X-mas though. I just put up some lights and will be getting the tree up later. This is my favorite time of year. I love the smell of snow, cinnamon and all the other amazing scents that mix, i love the food, colors, lights, snow and even the cold. I just love it. I love seeing all of my family but Christmas morning is always the best. Its so great spending that time in my parents living room with everyone unwrapping presents and just being happy. Im so thankful that I have an amazing job and can get my amazing boyfriend everything he wants, as well as everyone in my family. I am already done with shopping! No stress for the month of December.
I also remembered and interesting fact i learned in school while commenting on a status about changing Christmas to X-mas.
I went to a private christian school because my aunt was the principal and her two daughters were teachers. Dont get me wrong, i can go on about religion. I am not a christian and do not have a religion at all. But i do believe in God. No harm done. Anyways, in one of our classes we got on the topic on shortening Christmas to X-mas and if it was taking christ out of christmas. Our teacher told us that actually wasnt doing so at all and if anyone was trying to do it the joke was on them. She said that the X is an abbreviation for Christ in many languages. So when you say X-mas youre not taking it out at all. Just shortening it. I guess some people can still look at that as bad like the women i was arguing with on facebook. Oh well. Some people are just never going to be open minded for new things that they didnt hear before they grew up.

Christmas is my favorite time of the year too. Getting the family united, all the decorations around, the city full of blinking colored lights, children opening their gifts... I think the only difference over here is that we have no snow during Christmas, but it's an awesome time of the year for me regardless.
