It only hurts for a moment when going over where bone areas are.
Pain for a moment and art for a lifetime.
The next day it should feel like a bruise but you'll be ok.
No matter how much it itches DO NOT ITCH or you'll mess up the tattoo.
I have my ribs done, it only hurts for a bit and I'm really sensitive on my rib area too. It looks great and I'm sure yours will too you'll be fine I'm sure... I'd sit there and hold your hand for a few hours so long as you don't break the bones in my fingers. Ta
Thighs are a piece of cake! the closer it gets to your butt the more it starts to suck! The only thing that may be really bad are your ribs, I was told my chest was practice for my ribs. I hope it goes well
yea i've had my ribs done, slight discomfort for the first 5 minutes but just breath deep and the pain fades away. good luck with your piece, i have to say it looks good keep us posted on the finished art!
Ribs are ouch, and they're a bit odd. In my experience you can't tell without looking where exactly the artist is working because a lot of the pain shoots to one small spot. If I had to guess why this is, I'd say the small nerves around the needles are overwhelmed, so they send the signal onto the next larger hub of nerves. Just a guess though. I'll also say that the small parts of my tattoo that go over my chest and sternum were way worse, and since you have that chest piece, you've felt much worse pain than the ribs will offer. Everyone is different though. For all I know it could feel like a unicorn shooting you gently on the ribs with rainbow glitter.
ps don't feel bad, my chest is a work in progress, because that shit fucking hurt. Had to tell him alright thats enough for today lol and it's a tiny outline of wooden heart doors and a lock lol.
Just try to keep breathing as normal as possible with the ribs. It was hard to do it when I got mine since breathing caused my abdomen to move but it helped the pain. The feeling definitely raddled through my entire body and at times it sounded strange. Just go for it it is totally worth the temporary pain
