There were fires up north where I live too...over 50 houses gone on Sunday. So awful.

Day jobs are pretty dreadful.

I had actually forgotten that LA burns again. I may take up residence under a rock from here on out.

This is so awful for everyone affected. A friend of mine who lives in Germany was recently talking about the fires that were spreading in Athens, where her family lives. They got things in control, but not until much damage and anxiety. They said that the government didn't handle the situation very well.


One of the reasons i've always admired you is the caring and compassion that you've shown on several ocassions. This is just another example of this.

I just saw on the news . . . that some asshole started that fire intentionally! There are dead firemen . . . more than 50 homes destroyed . . . . there is nothing you could do to that person, to make them pay sufficiently for the damage and hardship they've caused!

I'm visiting LA in 2 weeks, I sure hope the fire goes away soon, all of my friends and family live there.

Thanks for filling me in on the donation sites, I took some pics from West Los Angeles to give people an idea of the size of the fires - I've been here my whole life and I have never seen anything quite like it.
