so, tomorrow i fly from atlanta, place of my nascence, sunny, happy, stormy home, locale of the ones i hold dear, tasty, greasy food capital of the union, to dreary, cold, wet, lonely portland, home of an abomination called "southern fried tofu" (and thusly turns great-grandma Essie in her grave).
and, strangely enough, i'm excited. what the hell is that?
i'll chalk it up to school (i'm taking russian and the history of catholicism in the spanish world, among other things. :academiclimax: ), decent public transportation, and having a strange new community of humans in which i can imbed myself.
the next time i update this little bitch, i'll be on the other side of this continent. it's been an amazing and wonderful summer. fuck.
