I do enjoy my civie life, but I'll agree that there is a lot lost to those who've never served. Time isn't quite the same nor is a lot of things. It's the same anywhere...those who never worked retail have no concept how much of a douche they are to the employees when they think they're better for being idiots. Oh well. I didn't fit too perfectly into the military lifestyle back when I joined, but I'm glad it did keep me straight on a few things so I can appreciate so much more like being on time (not that I was ever late to anything, but it makes more sense nowadays than it did prior to that signature and shaved head).

My boy was a "Jarhead" back in the day and was stationed in Iraq(during peacetime). Yeah, he misses being in service too.
