Sometimes I wonder if some people look at SGs for the sole purpose of criticizing any minor flaw that girl might have.
I've seen it on SG's myspace many times. "Kinda cute but her legs are ugly." "Her nose is too big." "That tattoo is so hideous, why did she get it?" I guess these assholes think that us girls are just parading around naked because we want to be judged like we're apart of a meat contest or something. This one is palatable but a bit too chewy. That one is lean but not seasoned to my liking.
Today I saw my set went up and I looked at some of the tags...some of the ones I've gotten are "pig", "fat", "saggy tits" and "disgusting". Seriously, now. If my appearance is really that atrocious, you can message the staff privately for that.
I've gotten a lot of nice comments from people as well, and I'd like to thank everyone who left one for the kind words...I never get sick of them and it's always very flattering.
But to the idiots who think it's cool to leave nasty tags and comments, I have this to say:
No one has ever advertised SGs as being perfect. The point of it is, WE'RE NOT. We don't put ourselves on display so that middle-aged men with shitty marriages can jerk off to us, though I'm sure that happens. We're here because we're proud of who and what we are, and we've got nothing to hide. We know we're not perfect, and we're okay with it. I'm not about to get liposuction and a breast lift just so a few assholes out there will change their opinion about me, which is probably one that has been distorted by the media anyway.
The honest truth is, folks, I have tons of flaws. I've had giant breasts since I was 12, and gravity can be a cruel mistress. My figure doesn't come without consequences....I've got some cellulite in my legs and ass. Guess what? So does 80% of women in America. And if you don't see it in photographs, chances are it's been airbrushed.
I'm not trying to be a porn star, here. I'm just trying to have a little fun and share images of my body with the world before it really goes down the shitter. If anybody has a problem with that, they can eat "fat " ass.

Greats news!
I had an internship interview last Thursday at 3FX, which for those of you who are too lazy to check out the link is a 3D studio that specializes in pharmaceutical and medical animations. My school offers internships that count as class credit, so that's what I was aiming for for next quarter. Sadly, next quarter's internship at 3FX has already been taken by one of the members of my Production group, but the good news is that Rocky (the dude that handles internships at 3FX) wants me for the winter internship. Score!
I made two simple animations, red blood cells traveling through an artery and dissected eye that has a slice that opens and closes to reveal the inside....I was worried it wasn't going to be enough to show him, but Rocky said that my work is some of the best he's seen in a long time. Wow, that was a huge compliment! So starting in December, I get to intern 6 hours a day for 3 days per week...crap, this means I have to go out and buy more professional type clothes now.
Other even better news: Steve finally got hired full-time at Center City Film and Video, which he has been freelancing at for almost a full year now. That is extremely awesome, because he works his ass off and hasn't been getting paid nearly what he's worth, so that we've been kind of scraping by on our rent every month and he has no health insurance...all to come to an end starting October 1st. It just makes me feel bad that I'm still jobless and unable to contribute any more than I can already....le sigh...
Anyway, here's some stills I took from my animations. First is the red blood cells:

Damn it all.
I just spent a lot of time setting up a nice surprise for my boyfriend as a late anniversary gift but I'm a technological dunce and I totally ruined it.
I was trying to send him a message on his Wii that he wasn't supposed to read until after he finished a puzzle game I set up for him, but it turns out that instead of sending the message to the Wii like I thought it would, it ended up e-mailing it directly to him so he read it at work, and was like "wtf? Puzzle game?"
Fucking Hell. I suppose I shouldn't be that mad because he still has to go through the puzzle to find his surprise but I didn't want him to know anything about it....blah. Stupid time of the month making me all emotional for no reason. Stupid hormones.

You know what I hate? People who talk on their cell phones at the gym.
I was under the impression that people go to the gym in order to get in shape and keep their hearts strong. How are you going to do either of those things if you're walking at a snail's pace on a treadmill while shouting to some person on your fucking cell phone?
It was bad enough when the gay guy walked in gossiping like a high school princess on his phone and didn't stop once he was on the treadmill next to me. Then some woman comes in not 5 minutes later, and guess what she was doing? You guessed it, talking on her phone. Seriously, assholes. If you want to talk on the phone, do it at home where other people who are actually using the gym for it's intended purposes don't have to be subjected to the droning, superficial conversations you're having with people that could easily take place at any other time of the day.
Maybe I'm just really out of shape but when I go to the gym, I can barely utter a full sentence because I'm so out of breath. I can't even imagine trying to carry on a lengthy conversation.
Anyway. That's my rant for the day, and possibly for the rest of the month. I love you all.

Oh SG, how I've neglected you.
I've been busy with the usual, school and annoying household chores that seem so much more plentiful now that I'm not living with three to four other people...why can't dishes just wash themselves?
Steve was just harping at me to tell everyone that I'm shooting another set with Steve Prue on Saturday so that's what I came here to do. So here it is, folks: Hey everyone, guess what? I'm shooting another set with Steve Prue on Saturday. Holy frick on a stick with a brick.
I'm hoping that after I graduate, it will free up a lot more time. I feel like school projects permeate every hour of my waking life...perhaps then I will be much better about updating my blog, yes?
Everyone always says that animation is the hardest major at my school, and I've been realizing all too well for too long how right they are. Sigh. I'd better get a good job after this is said and done or I might become a ninja and flip out and kill people.
I hope everyone is having a far more exciting summer than I've been having so far. Oh, quick news about the cats: they get along, but the kitten sucks. She's never affectionate and she just freaks out and attacks everything all the time, including us when we're trying to sleep. I hope this is just a phase...I think I prefer fat, happy lap cats.

An update after a little less than a month!
The apartment is mostly organized, some of Steve's stuff is still in boxes in the hallway but everything is good otherwise....oh, and we don't have a TV right now due to some miscommunication with Steve's brother, Mark. Mark offered to give Steve his big screen TV so that he doesn't have to buy him anything for Christmas, so Steve and I brought my TV back to my parents' in New York thinking that when we came back, we'd have a new big screen TV waiting for us. As it turns out, Mark isn't ready to hand it over just yet so now Steve and I are without a television....and without Zelda: Twilight Princess!
God damn that game is so addicting, I've been on break for almost three full weeks and I've played every day for at least an hour (I think my record for one day is 7 hours....who needs a social life when I can just play with my boyfriend's Wii all day long?) My break ends on Sunday and we still won't have a TV...shit, I'm getting Zelda blue balls already.
Oh, some big news! I don't think I've ever mentioned my kitty Madison before, probably because he's been living back in New York with my parents since before I joined the site. I haven't been able to bring him down with me because I've always been living with a bunch of people who might not enjoy his presence as much as I do. Well, now that I have my own place (and because Steve is a huge sucker for kitties), I was able to bring him into the apartment! After three years of only visiting my baby, he finally lives with me so I can give him cuddles and petting every night. Yay!
But wait, that's not all. We also got a kitten. Oh yes, our diminutive little studio is becoming crowded awful fast. We named her Midna after a character in Twilight Princess. (Can you tell we're both addicted to that game?) She's a little under 8 weeks old. She's really cute, but she's in that phase of her life where all she wants to do is attack everything in sight so it gets kind of annoying at night when we're trying to sleep (especially since it's a studio so it's not like we can just shut her in a different room.) SS3_Gokoux (aka Steve) has a picture of them both laying together on the love seat. Madison was doped up on tranquilizers for the long car ride home which is why he was tolerating her presence in the photo. After that wore off, he started hissing at her when she appraoched him later. However, last night she came up to him and he started licking her head! It was so adorable.
And yes, Madison is really fat. You can thank my parents for that one since they just leave a feeder available to him at all times and have never played with him or monitoredh is food intake. I took him to the vet during my NY visit and he weighs 17 lbs! I keep spraying toys with catnip hoping he'll play with them but he'll only play with them if they're close enough that he doesn't have to get up. What a lazy bastard.
Wow, I feel like one of those new moms that does nothing but talk about her baby and how great it is and posts like a million photos and talks about nothing else, except it's with kitties. Well, they ARE cute, aren't they?

Hello, SG peoples!
So I'm all moved into my new apartment. There is some semblance of order now compared to the first couple of days we were here (boxes upon boxes stacked everywhere) and it's starting to look really nice. Right now it kind of looks like a hotel with my shit in it though....we need to get some pictures to hang on the walls and stuff.
My parents were super awesome and came down with their truck to help us move everything. They also took us to a furniture store and got us a really nice dining table with four chairs and a reclining loveseat. Now all we need is a TV stand so we can play some fucking Wii.
Oh yes, Steve. I will play with your Wii. I will play with your Wii all night long. And if you're lucky, I'll even do it two handed.
Finals are upon me yet again (why does it feel like I have finals every god damn week of my existence?) but surprisingly I'm not that stressed out despite the fact that I'm taking 5 classes instead of my usual 4....next quarter is going to suck hard. I'm taking 5 classes again, and the summer quarter is only 10 weeks instead of 11 so that's one less week to get shit done. Balls.
So out of boredom I took some pics with my macbook pro's webcam....and nobody really ever gets to see this so here's me with glasses (and natural blue eyes):

Also, a week or so ago when I was still living at my old apartment, Steve came by and we took a bunch of goofy pictures with my laptop. Some of them are just so darn adorable that I couldn't pass posting them. If you are nauseated by displays of cutsie affection, then the following photos are not for you. You have been warned.

And for the record, that's part of my new kitchen behind me
.and yay for Hello Kitty pajama pants!
I really should post pictures more often.
Anyway, back to work for me.
Steve and I are moving into our new place today!
Which also means I won't have internet for awhile but I'll try to get up and running ASAP.
Wish me luck!

Huh. Well. That was fast.
Hopefully this means there's a check waiting in my mailbox
I've got a lot of stuff I need to buy for the big move on the 2nd, hard to believe how fast it's coming. Yesterday I helped Steve pack a bunch of his things, and I also packed some of my books. I'm kind of sad because there's not enough space at the new place to bring everything, so a lot of my books are getting sent home with my parents. (Mostly Wicca books....I was into Wicca a lot when I was younger, then what disillusioned teenage girl wasn't? But I don't read them so much now that my brain has sort of accepted that magick isn't logically possible...or is it?)
Man, I really want a frickin' kitten. My life has been devoid of kitties for the last few months and my need for hugging the crap out of something cute and fuzzy has not been adequately satiated.
I hope everyone enjoys the new set, I think it's time for me to get ready for class now. Le sigh.

I think whatever was making me sick was just a one day thing, thank god...I feel much better now, thanks everyone
On Tuesday I saw The Gathering in NYC with Steve, Enid, her boyfriend Mark (also Steve's brother), and their roommate Mike. We got there kind of late but it didn't really matter because the opening bands we saw weren't that great, although the first band, Foxy Shizam, did have some funny tactics...the keyboardist had disgustingly long chops that made him look like the wolf man or something, and in one of their songs he took out what appeared to be a pair of deer legs and started hitting himself with them and screaming. Earlier on, the lead singer talked about how he went to the bathroom in high school and couldn't find the soap. It was certainly interesting. Peelander Z put on a much funnier show though when I saw them in March.
I will say something about The Gathering...first of all, Steve is way more into them than I am, though I really dig most of their music. (Admittedly there's a song or two I don't particularly care for.) Secondly...it was a pretty great show, though decidedly too short. The room we were in was rather small so the sound wasn't as good as the first time that Steve saw them last year, but it didn't really matter to me, I was pretty much spellbound the entire time. Anneke's voice is like slow, sensual sex for your ears.
Steve and I found an apartment at a place I used to live at when I was in temporary housing...it's about 20 minutes walking distance outside of Center City but there's a free shuttle that takes you into the city, which is nice. When I was living there, I really enjoyed the atmosphere a lot, but last night I was reading some bad reviews that's making a little apprehensive about moving in...people have complained about mice, roaches and....eep, bed bugs! I admit when I lived there, I did have roaches that liked to hang out on my kitchen counter early in the morning, despite it being clean, but using bleach on the counters solved that problem. Also people were complaining about how they'd have problems with things in their apartment and they'd have to call three or four times before someone came to fix it, and that nothing was ever fixed right. I'm wondering if maybe I just got lucky the first time and was put in a unit that was in good shape. I e-mailed the woman in the leasing office and asked to see the exact unit we'll be staying in before we sign anything. I want to make sure there's nothing seriously wrong with it, and that if there is something wrong, it will be fixed before we move in.
Our move-in date is June 2nd, which is a little inconvenient for me since I'll be drawing close to finals by then but there wasn't really any way around it...oh, also, it's a studio apartment, which kind of sucks because there was a really nice one-bedroom available but it was sort of out of our price range. God, I can't wait to get out of school so I can get a REAL job that pays more than minimum wage and be able to live someplace really nice.
Wow, this is the longest thing I've posted in awhile.
Oh, I never did mention, I ordered a bunch of clothes for myself off my wish list and they're fantastic. Perhaps I will take pictures and post them later.
One last thing, one of the sets I shot recently got accepted, whoo hoo!
Time for breakfast....and coffee!
