Wow, really time for an update!!

Well, the past year of my life has been crazy. I went to school to get my cosmetology license full time, and also worked 30+ hours a week at my job, so I had no time for internet dawdling. Is that even a word? Anyways, I am finished and working full time in a salon. I now have plenty of free time to lurk on SG. Also in the past year, I have done hair and make-up on a handful of short films, music videos, and commercials. I love set work, but the hours are brutal. I am planning to go to grad school in the next two years to get an MBA, with the goal of working in the marketing department for a cosmetic or haircolor line. But not for awhile. I love my job, I just know I won't be able to do it forever. But it is fun for now. Okay, I really can't think of anything else to say...Go see Hot Fuzz, brush your teeth, get ready for sweater weather.

Over a month since an update...I really suck at life.

Westside Tuesday was fun, I finally got to make it out, I hardly ever do. But we had awesome burgers and then beer, so I was a happy girl.

Not really much to update about, still just working and hanging out most of the time. Oh, but today is special because I have a lunch date with Koala. It should be awesome. In fact, I'm going to go call her now.

I can't believe it is almost Christmas. It doesn't feel like it. Christmas in Florida feels more like Xmas than it does here in Santa Monica, it's so weird. But I had a great time at the screw off exchange, I made off with a gay sex starter kit. I'll for sure use the butt shaped ice trays at my next cocktail party.

I'm trying to get a new job, hopefully that will work out, because my current job is just wearing me out. But at the same time, I haven't decided it I am going to go back to school. I want to get into make-up here in LA, and I would need to go to school to learn special effects stuff. So I am in a kind of limbo state.

Sorry I suck so bad at updating! But in my own defense, I was out of town and then without internet-so I guess I have an excuse. But to recap the last month...Went to two weddings, hence why I was out of town for awhile. I went on a cruise for one of the weddings, and it was the most amazing experience. Had the time of my life, and got to celebrate with my closest friends. It kind of sucked to come back home to real life, but whatever. Everything is pretty low key for me now, I'm just working because I'm not in school anymore, so I have been catching up on some reading and just hanging out a lot. Pretty unproductive, but I am enjoying it. Just had some amazing food at Toi Thai, so I kind of want to just curl up on my couch and sleep.

1. I have to chew gum on both sides of my mouth. So I will split a piece of gum so I can chew it with both molars.

2. I love pinenuts.

3. I wore braces for almost 6 years.

4. My first concert was Steve Miller Band, I went with my mom and my uncles, I was 10 I think.

5. I hate mayonaise and cooked carrots.

6. My favorite candy is Jelly Bellies. Especially cherry, tangerine, green apple, and cotton candy.

7. I have 4 cats.

8. My little brother is in the army, and my sister is a state trooper.

9. The tallest guy I've ever dated was 6'4. I'm 5'2ish, so we looked really silly.

10. I love baseball. The Oakland A's are my team.

11. I went to UCLA and have a BA in anthropology. And I bartend. Go figure.

12. I'm going on a cruise in two weeks, so I went to a tanning bed to get a "base tan"-but I ended up getting a sunburn on my pale little ass.

13. My favorite beer is Franciscaner Dunkel. Their Hefeweisen is good, too.

14. I don't post very much on this site, but I check it just about every day.

15. I love the Harry Potter books.

16. I grew up in Naples, FL and was in Hurricane Andrew. That was the only big one I was in.

17. My father is from Corinth, Greece. I have only been to Greece once, but hopefully I will be able to go again soon.

Time for an update. I shot a new set with Oryx while she was in LA. I had a lot of fun with her, plus I got to play with Z_Leroy_S. Other than that, I'm just preparing to head home for my sister's and my friend from highschool's weddings. It will be a nice vacation, I'll just be broke when I get home.

Also, I highly reccomend the new Against Me! CD. It is amazing. That is all.

I suck at updating. I think I just need to embrace it. October will be quiet, but November will be hectic. My sister and good friend are having weddings within a week of each other. One of which is taking place on a cruise, which will be badass. Everything else is the same. Got both the new Against Me and the new Coheed and Cambria. Against Me is fantastic, and I haven't listened to C& C yet, but I'm sure it will be awesome.

I want to do some freelancing. I was so into writing when I was in school, and now that I have the time to write, I'm not doing it. I saw the Corpse Bride and Thumbsucker last week, both were amazing. I haven't seen a new movie that I really liked in a long time, so to see two in the same week blew me away. I highly recomend both. That's all for now, I'll try to update soon, instead of letting it go a month with no update...

I need a new profile picture so badly! My set pictures are almost a year old, and now I look completely different.

I know I haven't updated in awhile, but my life has just been crazy. My sister is getting married, my brother joined the army and just left for basic, I'm starting an internship, and it has been slow at work so I have been working a ton of extra shifts. So sorry for those of you who left comments in my last journal entry, I promise I will respond in the future. I thought I would be more active on the site when I finished school, but stuff just keeps comming up. Oh, well. But hopefully I will be shooting a new set soon. Hope everyone out there is doing well.

Finally back from Florida, I was there for 3 weeks. But it is good to be home. I haven't been on the site while I was away really, just a few times here and there, so sorry if I didn't respond to comments. Nothing really going on with me. Have to leave for work in a few minutes. I guess I'll update again when I have something interesting to say...
