I can't believe I just was about to finish writing this new blog and accidentally hit a button, thus deleting everything... T____T
Please tell me this doesn't only happen to me!
New Korea blog. In case you missed the others and are interested, here are the links.
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

Let's start this off with a picture of my hobo-self. It was the first day I was able to go outside without a jacket! Nice, that.
Decided to check out Myeong dong market. A vast area with numerous clothing- and make up stores. It is said that if you are looking for something and you can't find it here, it likely doesn't exist. Probably true.
I ventured around for hours and probably only saw a small part.

Kitties and hipster glasses are popular here too.

The selfie from my last blog makes a reappearance!

Lots of subway stations look like shopping malls themselves. Not unlike Shanghai.

Here is a taste of Lotte Mart's seafood section:

It could be considered Korea's Walmart.

Got this hot(!) Minute Maid orange beverage from a random vending machine.
Seoul Station

Some snack I bought at Lotte Mart. Not very good I'm afraid. I have South Park to thank for this.

But I also bought some non-food items I'm very excited about. Unfortunately when I tried to open the ear studs at home, one broke because the clasp was too tight. Argh...

The next few pictures are from the Cherry Blossom festival. It's been over a week since we went there but I haven been too lazy as of late, to load pictures off my camera.
It was too chilly that night for the blossoms to bloom, but we had our fun there for a while.

Lots of nom nom street food. Of course we indulged. By not I have learned that most of korean sweets and pastries are heavily starch based. Not overly sweet like they are in the US or in Europe. None the less, a lot of them taste excellent.

There was a stage where some sort of show was being held (of which I understood nothing) but at some point the mascots started to dance to "Gangnam Style". It was glorious. The black bird was shaking it particularly.

Now to the pictures from yesterday.
Finally it's been warm enough for the cherry blossoms to come out properly and it's oh so beautiful!

After that, we went to ChangDeokGoong. One of many palaces directly in Seoul that can be toured. The palace grounds are vast, but only part of it is open to the public.
Unfortunately due to a misunderstanding the ticket lady sold us tickets for the "secret garden" for like 3 hours later, so we decided not to hang out for that long. I shall return!

What mostly fascinated be beside the architecture, was the colorful art on all the individual buildings. I took so many pictures I can't even upload all of them here.

After the palace exploring, we went back over to Insa-dong Street because I was craving a caramel waffle badly. We walked down a random alley and happened upon a vegetarian restaurant. I loved it because it was traditional korean where you have to take your shoes off at the entrance, sit on a cushion on the floor and you are instantly greeted with your own pot of tea.

We munched on dumplings stuffed with veggies and soy protein, steamed pumpkin with some sort of nuts and jelly on top and fried protein strips on salad with tomatos. And we ated it all.

Later on we came across a store selling grourmet mochis and other starchy treats.

Aye. Of course we bought some!

Stay tuned for a new update in the near future. There is so much more to see!
