Sit down and talk to them. Show them that it isn't a bad thing. Its a powerful thing. I'm sure they'd be ok with how you and the rest of the girls are portrayed. Cheer up miss. Its important to you and I think they'd be ok with that.

I guess what you do next depends on who they are.

this is always a tough thing. i have seen a number of friends go through the same thing on this site.

remember that our disappointment stems from our judgment of things or others around us. our disappointment is created by our own view of the world. we are responsible for our own disappointments just as we are responsible for all of our happiness.

you haven't disappointed anyone. you have simply done what you have done for the reasons that you have done them. this person that you care for feels disappointment because the way they judge your participation in this site is not in keeping with what they would have wanted you to do. this may not make it any easier to resolve, but it is clearly something with which they have to come to terms (using your help, of course). good luck.

Hopefully they can understand you and your affiliation with this site, but in the end whatever decision you make in regards to them or this site hopefully everything will work out for the best! I know my ex would hate me having anything to do with this site and I'd probably have to leave if we ever hooked up again. I wish she'd understand but she's more hardheaded than I am so it might actually be impossible to gain her acceptance of this site. For now though, I'm free to do as I wish. But best of luck to you in your decision to do what needs to be done for the betterment of you and the person you care about.

Conservative people often project their concerns upon others and in so doing, they harm and oppress those who they profess to care for. Attempting to educate them is noble. Attempting to change them is naive. Attempting to change yourself as a response to that infliction of their opinion upon you, is an offense to the self ... as well as a diservice to THEM; you aren't doing anyone any favors by changing something that is already harmless about yourself and disguising their fears and letting them degrade in their false construction of power over other people based on those fears. Allow them to be dissappointed. There is a sociological reason for fear ... and for sticking by what you are inside. At their insistance; their fear can easily become yours and you can (in your own mind) loose your right to your own opinion and actions ... and in so doing, harm THEM. But not without a choice. You would be choosing that. Be kind to them by taking proper care of your freedom. Treat your self right and others will follow.
