Music Journalism has always been what I've wanted to do as my career of choice, which is why I decided to become an English major and break into the world of writing. I really do need to be much more productive with publishing what I write. Whether morbid short stories, screenplays or reviews of albums I love/hate, concert reviews and such....I definitely need to get my thoughts and opinions out there. Possible cause a little controversy and debate about what is considered to be talent within the music industry today. I'm hoping to write about new music that is impacting people and acquiring a growing fan base everyday.

Many writing gigs require that you have a blog with a certain amount of subscribers, or a twitter with numerous followers or even facebook with a bunch of friends so I'm hoping you guys can really help me out and SUBSCRIBE to my blog!! I swear it's not a horrible read and I would appreciate any comments negative or positive about my writing, you can also rate what you honestly think of it. But if you do decide to trash it, at least let me know how you think I can improve so I actually learn something of worth.

So far I've only written about Pearl Jam, The XX and Lykke Li but I intend to write about all kinds of interesting artists that are slowly gaining attention for their talent. If you have any recommendations, please let me know. I'm really interested in what other people are listening to all over the globe. I want this blog to incorporate all kinds of foreign artists and little known bands.

There are tons of independent blogs in the city that you could probably write for.
As long as you can actually write, you should be fine.

From the looks of it, she can write and she's quite good at it too. I subscribed, may not be reviewing my kind of music but your composure and structure is enough for me to come back to read more reviews.

Last time I applied, I didn't get in but that was when I had been here for just over 2 months, so it makes sense. I'll apply again then.

And I may hold you to going on hikes. Once the weather gets a bit better.

Craigslist can be hit or miss.
Start reading some of the music blogs in the city & see if they are looking for writers.
That is the best thing to do.
Maybe I can suggest some to you.?

Wounded Rhymes is good but it's so sad. Sad music is still good music but I was hoping for some more upbeat dancey songs. ps I can't wait for your set
