Last night I was walking home from a party at 3a.m. I was only a block away from my house, when a car full of black, crackhead, gangster, lookin' thugs stops by my side. The guy in the passengers seat gets out, pulls a gun on me, and cracks a smile. He told me to give up all of my stuff. I said to him, "I'm a fucking punk dude! I ain't got shit."

(Which was a total lie, I had over $100 in my bag.)

I gave him the handful of quarters I had in my pocket. He then ordered me to give up my skateboard. I told him it wasn't mine, but my friends. He put the gun to my head, and yelled, "Give up the board bitch." I could hear him cock the gun.

I didn't think the gun was real, but I wasn't about to find out. Really what kind of human being puts a gun to someones' head for a skateboard?!? It's not even a nice board! I would imagine that they would be too worried about scuffing their sneakers, to ever ride it. I gave up the board and they drove off.

Never has anything like that happen to me. Sure some creep will try and talk to me more often than I like to imagine, but never did I feel like my life was in danger. Has anything similar ever happened to you? What do you do in that kind of situation?

Now on to a more positive note:

Tonight I'm playing a FREE show in San Francisco @ The Retox Lounge. 21+

Now I'm going to go and smoke out my buddy who's board I just lost.

whoa!! i would of given him the board asap! i was riding with a friend of mine on my way to the LA 405 and he was yelling and honking at this guy and the guy casually hung his arm out the door with a gun in it. my friend obviously freaked out backed off and pulled off on the side of the road to get away from the guy. he never messed with another car again im sure. i wish i see your show but im not there in town. bummer. glad you are ok.

well i never had anything like that but one day my mum forgot to pick me up from work experience cuz my nan was in hospital again. i didnt have credit so i went to use the pay phone when i guy grabbed me, tried to tun me round and pick me up (probly to cart me away to his car or something) but i thrust the heal of my hand up to try and break his nose but he turned and i hit his jaw. i then bent down quickly to get my bag so he couldnt take anything and when i stood up he was gone! but all of this happened on a fucking main street! its fucking bellshit!

this was over 2 yrs ago and i still dont even walk near payphones! so i hope you recover better than i did <3 take care of you sweetie.

Sorry to hear that Dice. I hate to say it, but situations such as that are the reason why I've had a conceal carry permit for the last 5 years. Also why my personal motto is "Si vis pacem, para bellum" - If you seek peace prepare for war. It's also tattooed around my left wrist. Be careful out there.

wow thats pretty intense.. ive never experienced anything like that, but thats not at all surprising considering where i live. i do plan on getting a concealed weapons permit though. better to be on the safe side.
i always have a knife or two on me, but you dont bring a knife to a gunfight.. eek...

glad to hear you are doing okay.. im sure that was a bit of a experience..i would be pretty shaken im sure..

Oh my god! I can't believe how together you seem after having something like that happen to you. I would be absolutely dysfunctional today, and probably so for several days.

Too bad for the board but luckily you're all right!. I've been there a few times and my response normally is to run like hell affter arguing with the bastard and giving my money or watch or wathever... It's humiliating in either case... but I'm still alive to talk about it

thats fuckin balls man. When I lived in NYC three guys tried to mug me when I was two blocks away from my apartment. One walked up behind me and took my phone out of my hand (I had just gotten off the subway and was checking a voicemail) and picked me up and covered my mouth. The other two were walking towards me. I had a bag around my shoulder and torso with my new camera, ipod, and $200 cash leftover from getting tattooed the day before. I usually NEVER EVER have cash on me.The others starting kicking me and punching me and told me to give them my bag but i had an arm over it and until I saw a weapon, they weren't getting shit. I kicked them back and kicked one of them in the head. They took off. I had a few bumps on my head and was pissed to lose my phone but obviously I'm thankful that was all they got.
Seriously. What the fuck is wrong with people?
