We did a bloody balloons dance where we popped each others balloons that were filled with blood while 'competing' for the attention of the audience.

I was amazing to be back home, I spent lots of time with my friends and family...

I took a ton of videos but I was right in the front and the bass was so loud it didn't record ANY sound on my lil iPhone...
I do however, have a video of Ninja stage diving right next to me, so close I almost got a kick in the face

I ate, drank, was merry.

It was AMAZING to be home, I feel refreshed and full of love.
The best thing that I got from my trip was really affirming how strong my life is here in Israel and that this has slowly but surely become my home in every sense of the word.
When I was in Johannesburg I felt at home, like I always will, but my life is here and my home is here in Tel Aviv.

So last night at about 2am this crazy drunk woman walks into the bar I work at with this little guy (small pic I know but its the only one I have)



He is a gorgeous little Pit bull pup.
I notice him strait away and I wasn't very happy about the fact she has a dog in a loud smoky bar.
I kept an eye on her and noticed she was being really rough with him, dragging him across the bar on his leash, smacking him around.
So I went to my boss and told him, he came and told her she shouldn't have the pup in a bar. She went completely nuts, strangling him and telling him if he comes near her she will kill the puppy.
So my boss comes to me and says he is calling the cops.
The crazy bitch trusted a girl at one of my tables with the pup so she was holding him (knowing the plan was to get him away from her) waiting for the cops to arrive, in the mean time we called a friend who works with rescued pit bulls and she arrived, waiting for the right moment.
The cops arrive, start talking to her, the customer walks out with the pup, I walk out after her.
There was a key on his collar so I took it all off, gave him to our friend, she ran with him (the cops gave us permission to take the pup)
The cops then escorted the crazy woman out who was screaming and going nuts.
It was a totally surreal and crazy experience.
The pup is now safe with the person who runs the pit bull rescue facility being trained, they want to keep the little guy for themselves... he is so adorable, who wouldn't

I will get a dog in my next apartment, I live with a roommate who has two cats so it won't work now, so mid year I will get my own apartment (with my man) and we will get a dog.
Probably not a Pom, unless I can find a rescue one. I don't want to buy a dog from a breeder, rescue is the way to go.

Since I got Hipstamatic on my iPhone I have not been able to stop taking pictures,
I thought I'd show you my bedroom...

This is my bed, my purse and my hippo. Hippo was a gift from a friend, I was going through a rough patch and she gave him to me saying that a friend gave him to her when she was down, I plan on passing him on to a friend in need one day For now though, he lives on my bed.

The desk next to my bed has a picture of my other bestie from SA, she gave me this picture when I left.
Also two hand made Zulu ladies, it is an initiative in SA where they teach poor South Africans artistic skills (like how to make these beautiful ladies) so they can sell them and make a living.



This heart is made of coke cans as part of a similar initiative

Happy new year everyone!!

Lately I have really been feeling the need to do something creative.
Back in SA I had my awesome burlesque troupe Circus Gothica to keep the creative juices flowing and my trusty awesome local staff photographer Talamia who is always ready with camera in hand to take some beautiful pictures.
I haven't found anything yet here in Tel Aviv that satisfies that need... I am so happy for my girls in Circus Gothica, while I watch their progress from across the seas I love to see how well they are doing. At the same time though I can't help feeling a little sad about leaving all that behind.
This is the life I have chosen and I am so happy here, I know though that those feelings of sadness at what I left behind will always be with me.
I am a Jozi girl in my heart and I always will be...
Man, I really need to find an outlet....
Unfortunately though there are no staff photographers here in Israel and I am really hesitant to shoot with someone who is not familiar with this site.
I was really spoiled with Talamia, I trust her implicitly and when you are putting yourself out there all nekkid and stuff in front of a camera that is so important.
Le sigh....

I found this video on youtube yesterday, it was such a great night.
The premier of a short film called Cult Without A Name, Tarion, Hadess and I were hired for a performance by one of the bands preforming, The Slashdogs.
It was great, we danced on stage and suddenly Hadess (all planned, the audience wasn't expecting it though) started convulsing, as if she was having a fit.
She fell on me and I pushed her onto Tarion and it went back and forth for a while until she collapsed onto the floor, we picked her up and passed her to the singer of the band who put her onto the couch on stage.
Tarion and I sat with her, stroking her until she woke up.
It was so much fun



I miss my girls.

Firstly, new profile picture woohooooo!!

I lived on my own here in Israel for the first time in my life and I loved it. After my 6 month lease expired my best friend and I decided to move in together.
We found a great apartment (literally the building next door to my old one so the move couldn't have been easier for me)
Its pretty big by Tel Aviv standards and we are really happy here... here are some pics.

The bar that I work for participated in a country wide Stella Atrois competition and we won!!
So 14 lucky people were selected to spend a weekend in the Stella Villa in Eilat (about 4.5 hours on a bus from T.A)
Free alcohol, food, a butler AND a masseuse!!
