Wow...
I vowed that I'd be better at getting on here. I pretty much suck at that.
Moved to a new house...still working too much and making my soap...Insert shameless plug here...tackling feather clips next...trying to get back into school and plan a lavish party and a luxurious vacation.

Excuses?
Absolutely!

True?
Abso-freaking-lutely.

Hope you all don't hate me too much smile
I will be better...and I want to work on getting another set up soon too! Or at least shooting one.

XOXOX

Rain, rain, rain, rain, rain and some more...RAIN!
I'm sick of it for sure. Hopefully by the time my birthday hits it'll be better. No more gray...bring out the SUN!

But, I AM doing boot camp and losing weight like crazy and gaining muscle town like it's the best awesomesauce you ever saw. HELL YES! New set WILL be coming this summer smile

New soap went up today....pear ginger mint shaving bar and a strawberry lemonade exfoliating bar...YUMMY!!!

Portland is awesome.
It is my life's goal to live there.

New news...engaged and not wearing a diamond...nor will I ever be smile
Our honeymoon will be at a swing club...how many couples can say THAT!?

Two new soaps and my kitty hats are now on Etsy. Do NOT judge the hats on the pictures. They are SO awesome and I pour a lot of myself into each one I make. Be a part of the beautiful imagination!

Okay....So I'm back again smile
I've been super busy with life, work and love...so here I am! Get me while you can!

I've recently begun to make soap and I'm just starting to offer them up to see if there's any interest. The girls at work, who can smell and feel the soap, LOVE it and are sworn marketeers. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Chocolated Mint - This is one awesome bar! I took a mint base and added real Dutch cocoa to bring in the rich, earthy richness of chocolate. That awesome chocolate is then beautiful mingling with an extra layer of mint awesomness. This is a winning bar!
Saponified oils of sustainable palm kernel, organic coconut, castor, sweet almond, jojoba, avocado butter and grapeseed.
$5/bar - ready 3rd week of March

zoom image
Geranium Almond - This bar boasts a creamy almond bottom with ground almond to incorporate a nice scrub. The top features a subtle organic geranium scent that swirls down into the almond.
Saponified oils of shea butter, avocado butter, organic extra virgin olive oil, jojoba oil, palm kernel oil, sweet almond oil and organic coconut oil
$4/bar

zoom image
Sweet Lavender - real lavender blossoms are in the bar and on top for added texture and depth. The ubiquitous lavender is elevated with a sweet touch of vanilla. Specs of purple are swirled in and it's an altogether feminine bar.
Saponified oils of organic coconut, sustainable palm kernel, avocado butter, shea butter, jojoba and sweet almond.
$5/bar - ready 2nd week of March

Toasted Pomegranate Brulee - This is my personal favorite. This soap is two batches of soap rolled into one decadent bar. First, the chunks are a pomegranate soap made with real pomegranate juice. It is then nestled into a vanilla base that is riddled with specs of real Tahitian vanilla bean seeds. Rock declares this as my 'Million Dollar Bar of Soap' smile
Saponified oils of sweet almond, organic extra virgin olive oil, glycerin, organic coconut oil, palm kernel, jojoba and cocoa butter
$3/bar

zoom image
Peach Cobbler - This lovely bar smells beyond edible and has ground up oatmeal in there with a light dusting of cinnamon for extra scrub.
This soap is made with luscious saponified oils of organic coconut, palm kernel, organic extra virgin olive oil, shea butter, and avocado butter
Limited supply - $5/bar

zoom image
Spiced Currant - A creamy vanilla base with a marbling of black is capped by a red currant top. Simple yet delicious!
Saponified oils of sweet almond oil, jojoba, organic coconut oil, shea butter and palm kernel oil
$5/bar

zoom image
Rosemary's Garden - I took a nice nettle tea and blended two bars into one on this one. The bottom has steamed nettles, ground rosemary and oatmeal and has a top of chamomile and lemon swirled in to add depth. Soothing and exfoliating and covered with a shining gold...what more can you ask for?
Saponified oils of sustainable palm kernel, organic coconut, extra virgin coconut oil, sweet almond, jojoba, shea butter, glycerin, castor and rosemary extract
$5/bar

zoom image
Soothing Shaving Bar - These white rounds are immersed with chamomile to smooth with a touch of tea tree to heal and have bentonite clay which creates a great slip while you're shaving!
This soap is predominantly saponified oils of palm kernel oil, organic coconut oil and extra virgin coconut oil, made with a sweet chamomile tea
$5/bar

Do you like to make your own soaps, lotions, candles, etc?
Well then you'll LOVE these videos that a friend of mine is producing....
DIY Bath, Body & Home

She makes about five new ones a weekend and then updates throughout the next week. If you subscribe, then they'll even send you an email about when there's a new video up smile Just because the economy is soft, doesn't mean you need to skimp on taking care of yourself and Jessie will show you how to do it for pennies on the dollar!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On a separate note, it's been a stellar week smile
Hannah won an all expenses paid trip to a yoga retreat in Colorado and she has picked me to be her +1!! I even got the time off request approved at work, which is no small feat! Now I just have to done down and limber up! YES!
I've bought a lot of tickets too...it's going to be phenomenal summer!
Thus far:
+Tickets to fly home for Memorial Day
+Ziggy Marley/311
+Bumbershoot over Labor Day
+Collie Buddz next week
+Fair tickets as soon as they go on sale smile
Ahhh...I love it here!
I should be sleeping, as we're off to PDX super early tomorrow, but I just can't. Too much to do and see on here and I'm not a weary one surreal
Anyway...hope this finds you well!
XOXOXOX
Okay...so I've been absent for a really long time. My bad.
Thankfully, it's nothing but good news here. Let me share some bits and pieces of what's new with Dia...
mad I miss pumping my own gas. Truly. It was nice getting into California for a bit so I could do it myself
blush Work is awesome. I got to play with thousands upon thousands of honey bees on Friday. RAD!
kiss Been making incredible new friends and missing home less and less with every passing day
shocked LOVE that Springs starts in February here! Seriously...there are flowers blooming here that don't start till June back home
whatever The music scene here is incredible! I love living on I-5!!
confused I'm in love with etsy.com! I'm going to start making my own soap and selling it on there...be on the look out.
Besides that...not much else.
I need to shoot more. There's so much here, but we've been so busy with stellar bowling, Guitar Hero: World Tour, sausage making, California Trips, playing on the coast, PDX weekends...the list goes on.
P.S. Oregon...I love you for your beer, if for nothing else!
Hello lovely SG world!
How goes it!?
I've been so busy...
Life is on a HUGE upswing and I am determined that it'll only get better from here on out.
+Got a WONDERFUL job
+My car will be returned to me next week and it's being repaired for FAR less than expected
+Getting the most ever back in taxes even though I only worked 6 months last year
+Experiencing WAY less stress with the removal of contact of the 'in-laws'
+Preparing to go back to school for Business Management
+FINALLY starting to make friends here...and they're awesome ones at that
What's not to love, really!?
I've made it through the hard times of being unemployed and horribly homesick...I think we may just make it here smile
Now...let's get another set done and finally get it to go LIVE!!!!
So I quit my job today.
It was hell. I cannot believe that there are people out there who do that day in and out and are happy with it.
FUCK THAT!
I have an INCREDIBLE interview on Thursday and I am praying to any power that will listen to my pleas, that I get it. It's with an awesome company that has organic foods and it pays well (for the area), has great hours and is a job I can feel good about.
In the meantime, I am focusing on doing graphic design.
Anyone need a business card...a logo...a layout done for a Christmas card...commissioned art as a Xmas present? Anything at all. Let me be your girl. At least keep me in mind and pass word along to anyone you think might benefit.
I've been going to the gym M-F at 5am. I'm down almost 15 pounds and feel GREAT. My triceps are popping out, as is the line down the middle of my abs. It's hot. Only about 10-15 pounds more to go!
Hope you all had a great Halloween and are ready for the Thanksgiving festivities that are already almost upon us. How does it always sneak up on us so fast?
