There was a (young) lady who swallowed a spider, who swallowed the fly. Why oh why did she swallow the fly? (ETC. ad nauseum)

So, the real question is how did the fly get in your ear?

I heard somewhere that the average person swallows 10 spiders a year in their sleep…

one time a bug crawled into my ear and they drowned it to get out. it made me so sad cause i could hear it trying to get out

appartly spiders crawl into peoples mouths all the time when their sleeping .. average person consumes four spiders per year in his sleep .. EWWWWWWWWWW

although i personally think the thought of them laying eggs in my ear is more scary.

You are a gentle, sweet woman. Spiders are actually very beneficial (when not crawling in your ear) because they catch other pesky insects and control their population from increasing. In some countries it is considered bad luck to kill a spider. My guess is the spider crawled in your ear just to whisper how lovely you are. I will always adore you as well.

I think I would cry like a baby if that happened to me.
