I actually had an earwig start into my ear one night when I was camping along the Deschutes. Not entirely certain of its fate.

Egad! That is no fun. I once had a cockroach crawl up one of my pant legs when my friends and I were playing around in an old, run down building. Not sure what was worse, the icky feeling of it skittering around or the embarassment brought on by my pulling my pants down in front of my friend's sister, jumping up and down and screaming "get it off! get it off!"

how'd it get in your ear? I am not too fond of spiders, i don't like them crawling on me, i don't think i would stand still long enough for it to actually make it into my ear.

I read somewhere that on average people eat 5 or 6 spiders in their lifetime (the human's life, not the spider's). They crawl into your mouth when you're asleep, looking for a warm moist place . I reckon it'd be alright having the little daddy-long-legs crawling down your throat but I have funnel-web spiders everywhere. Not nice.

yeesh....and I collect spiders. Have for over 20 years....

God I fuckin hate spiders. I'm surprised you actually let it back outside... I probably would have freaked out and smushed it.

I lived in Georgia for 10 years... spiders are just a damn reality there. One of the houses I lived in there was impossible to get the spiders out of. No matter how many times you sprayed, there were just a freaking ton all over the place. They'd randomly drop on you while you were watching TV and crap. I eventually just had to move because I couldn't stand that anymore.

what kind of spider is that?? my previous apartment had really big spiders that left you HUGE welts if they bit you. luckily, they only ever bit glenn. i never ever killed them. they probably protected our apt from mice better than our cat did.
