My god, I am the worst blogger ever.
I also have not really been trolling and lurking on SG like I usually do.I wax and wane with it. I think part of the reason is I made so many friends on here, that now we just see so much of each other in real life I just text them now instead of coming on here, possibly facebook too. I dunno. so as I am not really much of a writer anyways. Here is a bunch of pictures of me doing stuff.

I also quit smoking. I just completed my first week. I did it cold turkey, It has been an interesting experience so far. Right now it is really just me and willpower. Hopefully I can do it.

It was totally my Birthday the day before Thanksgiving and I feel like I have just been partying it up for the last couple days. Today I think I may just make a nest and watch The Twilight Zone. I heart Twilight Zone.



Better late than never! Here is my hubby and I dressed up for Halloween. I was an Eskimo and he was the abominable Snowman. I love Halloween. Next year though I might have a ocuple extra costumes lines up...he got a little toasty in that one.





I have a thing for lawn gnomes, in fact I think I own somewhere around maybe 70 lawn gnomes and related gnome equipment. But alas I live in the land of ice and snow and we were getting snow that day and I had to frantically pack up my gnomes. Gnomes if left out in the snow will explode. At least here where it can get like 20 below. Also I am very aware how lame I look in my winter hat. I have a passion for large obnoxious winter fluffy hats.

I am getting Lasik on December 10th. Goodbye glasses and contacts hello laser vision. Though I do say I might miss the cuteness that glasses have sometimes. But I won't miss falling asleep with them on and then they get all bent and weird or when you go from outside freezing cold to inside and they get all fogged up. Or having a contact slide behind my eye at the most irritating moments . Though I will say, its a really scary thought. you know lasers in your eyes. Especially being an artsy kid. I told my doctor if he made me go blind I would make him go blind, then he offered to burn me a couple cds of a band he likes. Why don't people ever seem to take my death threats seriously?!


MaiTai and I. She lives with me, sometimes we sleep together in a giant beanbag in the living room. I also leave small creepy clown dolls in her room. She still hasn't found them all. I also like to paint my buttcheeks and leave and imprint in her closet so she doesn't ever forget about me. It's my house so I can do things like that.Generally she just rolls her eyes and then starts finger dancing with her Iphone.
It might just be my age, but I have been in or involved with a ton of wedding in the last couple of years. I think I might have finally hit a lull.
Juan and I went out for Chinese and his fortune was the top one and mine was the bottom. I think the Chinese food wanted us to fight or something.

Someone posted a picture of my highschool photo on FB. I was a freshmen I think. Makes me want to go listen to some MM and read some trashy vampire romance novel.

This was at Thanksgiving. Me and my rent-a-baby Zoe. What blows my mind when you watch someone grow up is the moment they start talking to you. Like last month when her parents brought her over just gurgles then when I see her she is a talking machine of broken sentences and code. Humans are so weird.
It's November , there is no sticking snow yet. But it is cold. I wish it was Summer again so I could play kickball. Boo.

Can you please teach Netflix how to do that thing you do? Thanks. Cause if Netflix keep recommending Jumanji because I liked Poltergiest I might as well just start banging my head against my keyboard and maybe better results will happen. I still love you netflix but we are having some serious communication problems.

I went to the Minneapolis Zombie pub crawl last week. This is my sister and I, she was a scuba diving zombie, I didn't really have a theme. Next time I will.

This was awhile ago, but since I haven't posted picture in so long I thought I would, I like to do weird things sometimes to keep myself busy, this is one of them. Running up mountains in a discarded prom dress, over ridiculous obstacles and mud.


This is my first paintball experience. OUCH.


Went to the new Twins Stadium. It is a beautiful stadium. I don't really get into sports ...so I was trying to entertain myself.


Sometimes I do runway even though I am super short. I always feel like the meerkat in a pack of gazelles. But my hair was awesome.

I just felt like posting a little bit of my summer, as now the temperatures are dropping at incredible speeds out here in the Midwest. Goodbye summer. I will miss you.

Thank you for making me laugh so hard and watching my sister bowl over a couple of old ladies to get to the cake.

So every time I watch "Paranormal Activity" I fall asleep. Last night I even watched it with a ...what the hell are they called a rift track to accompany it. And I still fell asleep. I did however wake up to finally watch the ending of the film. I think this is definitely the type of film that needs to be watched in a theater, not to see it on a big screen, just so that you can't really escape.Theaters to me either feel like comforting cradles or traps. "Paranormal Activity" would have been one of those movie theater seat traps. Don't get me wrong, one of my personal phobias is being locked in a house with some unknown force trying to "get me" in some sort of sense. But really the whole sort of "Blair Witch-esque "type of filming is starting to die in the same way reality tv is.
Juan watches tons of reality television and I will admit that I had my moments in the past that I also was in love with Jerry springer like survivor voting-off train-wreak American individuals .I think at one point as an audience, you become so head over heels in love with the fact that these individuals are not so distant celebrities that you could never know, but people that are or can be just like me. I totally get it. But all this reality tv has even transformed into something so less human than it used to be. I mean in the sense that you can start watching a reality show and start to instantly pick out individuals judge them and label them , "ooh, there is the conniving asshole, that one is the slut". The only thing that really changes is the settings. And even then I think they are starting to run out of far of beautiful lands to film in.
I wish that whatever producers are transforming the average Joes and Janes into being such unbalanced spectrums of humanity would just spend all that time and energy into something else. Even me as the audience I can't even describe what it would be, I couldn't say this is exactly what I need. I just want better storytelling back. Someone please just blow my fucking mind with entertainment cause I have outgrown you reality TV.

I have seriously been stuck in a vortex of reality. I forget how much fun I have lurking around SG. I got a new job about a year and half ago and it has been taking a serious chunk out of my life. I think I have settled into it a bit better now.
It is a bit weird though. I think I have finally hit a lull with the secure 9-5 nowadays. I mean I love my job,where else could I be drawing on a computer 40 hours a week. It is a beautiful thing in its own way, but now I have been getting a bit bored. I little too safe. So now I have started looking for thrill seeking adventures to go own for a change of pace. I am going rock climbing tomorrow and I am so excited, it will be the first time belaying on my own, I hope it goes well.
I am going to go to New Orleans in January I think the second or third week. I am really excited. I wish I had more vacation time. I only get 5 days a year until I hit my 3 year.

I have also recently discovered Doctor Who. WOW. AMAZING. Thank you netflix.

Summer just slips away sometimes.

The snow came back. I feel hurt and cheated. They say that it will all go away in a couple weeks, but at this point it is very hard to believe that. I was so excited to start working on the yard and running outside. And then mother nature has to just throw a bunch of evil snowballs at us all. I should go ver to her doorstep and throw some ice cubes at her. Grrr!

I am thinking about planning a trip to New Orleans.I have always wanted to visit. If you have any suggestions let me know.

I design a prom every year and This year the theme is Vintage Carnival. I am uber excited. I have started buying stuff to make centerpieces. Yeah!


My friend and I have collaborated on a giant piece that combines machine embroidery and painting together. The image should be below. It is inspired by the Japanese story called "The Crane Wife". Let em know what you think.

Went to Harry Potter World. Was awesome.

Job is still going well. Love the crafty world of craftness.

Started going to the gym two months ago and have been keeping up with it for the first time in my life. I will take any suggestions you have on it.

Been drawing at the taxidermy museum . I love the creepiness of it all.

It is totally winter in Minnesota and it is starting to get old. I am really sick of this cold. We hit records this year with snowfall and had to dig my honda out of various situations.

Really want to plan a trip to New Orleans.

working on a couple more Art shows.

Started a book club called "Edible Panty Hot Dish" So far we have read; "The Pilo Family Circus" a book about horrible clowns. I really suggest you look it up if you can stand clowns. Kurt is my favorite character. This book is really hard to find and was banned in all Minneapolis Libraries. Was available at Barnes and Noble.

Also just finished "The Hunger Games" trilogy.

Started learning how to belly dance. It's hard. I like it.

Learned how to ice skate.

Matai Moved back in with me. Where she belongs.

Been listening to audio books at work. Really like it better than the radio. If you have any suggestions of good audio books I would love it.

Besides that it is Winter here. And boring. Can't really go outside. I miss outside.

I think I will organize the junk room with Maitai. We are going to make it into a yoga and dance space.
