Below is an email I've sent to Missy regarding my feelings towards the site. I cannot blindly support anything that I truly do not believe in. I'd like to thank all of the wonderful comments members and other SG's have left me since my first set going live. I've always appreciated it!

Upon learning about the way Missy deals with SG's who are in disagreeance of how she is running the site, I will likely be black bagged. So if that is the case, I bid you farewell and if you have any comments about this, feel free to email me at petite_hands@yahoo.com.

Dear Missy (or to whom she has given the task of filtering her emails),

In these last several months, my opinion of what SG stands for and what it provides to the girls of the site has changed in a disappointing way. The first I ever saw of the site was five years ago and I distinctly remember being captivated by the idea and the women behind it. Upon moving to Portland just over 2 years ago, I applied to become an SG and was enthusiastically accepted.

I have to say that since my first set went live and now, I am not happy with the direction SG is headed. However, I am lucky enough to not fell enough attachment to the site to hold back how I feel.

Of the six sets I have shot, three have been rejected. I could write you and entire essay on how wrongly that word is used, on this site of all places (doesn't declined sound nicer?). All sets were shot by London, one of the sites most talented and popular photographers. Recently, due to the increase of new girls to the site, you've also requested "higher quality" sets. I understand your reasoning for this tactic but sadly, I do not believe that this is achieving your goal. By implementing this, you have begun to treat older SG's in a fashion that does not stand behind why you started this site in the first place.

You wanted to give strong, unique, and sexy women the opportunity to express themselves in a place with practically no boundaries. Along with this should come the obvious which is am important tool to keep any business running in a smooth fashion, respect. Respect for themselves and for the other women on the site. The least you could do is show us the same.

The information I have received from your model coordinators (they seem to change every month, I wonder why?) about why my sets were rejected are obviously untrue. What I can gather from the details are the white lies you've fed to them to then relay to us.

I was told by a believable source that the reasons you rejected one the sets is that you didn't like my short hair (yet we can't wear wigs) and my cut off jean shorts because it was all too "boyish". Maybe I AM a tomboy. And this IS the way I express myself. And in another set, you didn't like the lighting or the way it was shot. Perhaps you should be discussing this need for "higher quality" sets with your photographers, for this is something that most girls have no eye for. They cannot control what is happening behind the lens when they are modeling.

From someone who has worked for small businesses all her life, I hope that you do take my opinion into serious consideration for it is not that I am angry I will no longer be an SG, but because this is absolutely no way to running a business.

Yours Truly,
Corey

alright, so there weren't any strip clubs involved with my birthday this year. thats okay though, i've been keeping baja at the forefront of my mind whenever trying to keep expenses down. i continue to remind myself that it is totally worth it.

i think that travelling is almost as awesome as getting a tattoo. alteast thats what i'm trying to tell myself :-P i truely believe that amazing memories are just as good as permanant ink.

last night i did some pumpkin carving with some good friends. it was so cute i could hardly contain myself. i think carving pumpkins is a tradition that i could never give up. and if you cook the seeds just right, their damned delicious.

so a cool thing that has happened lately is that i'm going to start selling my handbound journals at a local art store as sketchbooks. i've spoken to the owner a couple of times and he has been wanting to get some local book art in the place so he's having me make 8 journals and we'll see how they sell. it'd be nice to make some extra money by way of crafting. it always feels better when it can come around full circle and let your art be used by other artists.

alright, i'm finally taking some time off work for goddam, good'ol fun. next week i'm heading to the rogue river with some fellow friends for a nice 3 nighter. the love and i are paddling our shiny new tandem canoe (hey it rhymes!). i'm so excited. hopefully my pathetic paddle strokes has gotten worse tongue

oh oh and my birthday is the 17th too! i don't know if we have any specific plans other than not working and maybe some sleeping in? perhaps a strip club or two? anyone? anyone? haha. i love the portland bicycle strip club tours. do YOU live in a town that you an get totally obliterated but still ride your bike to the other 3 strip clubs in this 5 mile radius? i bet not!

anywho, i'm off to play some ping pong and darts, i hope is well with everyone else is SGland.

oooh man, fall is upon us. i love the falltime.

one of the greatest things about the fall is the greatest pumpkin patch opens. they have pumpkin cannons, a pumpkin trebuje (sp? its some kind of frenchie word for a catapult) as well as pumpkin slingshots. and a huge open field with a beatup car and some plywood targets. are you jealous yet? well you shoudl be.

so i'll hopefully be shooting a new set with london this weekend. i'll keep my fingers crossed.

i've been working on my art a lot lately. i've finally gotten a serious piece of relief sculpture going. and its shaping up to turn out exactly the way i wanted it too. i found an old window in the garbage a couple of weekends ago. so what i'm doing is creating a shadow box that is 1" deep. in between the window and the backboard there is going to be a starburst like pattern woven with nailheads and thread. between the nailheads and thread i am suspending three photos i took. they are of a moth that was hanging out in this cheese-cloth'ish material i hung below my bedroom light. they're really interesting looking because the material gives it some serious texture. we'll see how it turns out.

under the banner of heaven is a really good book. i'm not usually a big fan of history. well, i can't say that i'm not a fan, because if it were't for the past, i wouldn't be here. but it goes pretty far back into the history of the religion and its founders. i'm striding through the middle section right now, so i'm hoping it'll get more to date soon.

alright, so i hope i achieved in boring you with my rants of art and books. tongue

alright, despite having a shitty couple of weeks, i'm ready to forget all of it and have some damned fun today.

the adult soap box derby race is today as well as the belmont street fair. oh, and i might go to a craft and fabric store too! what a perfect weekend not to go work in HR.

so remember me bragging about my amazingly cool new set i just shot just over a month ago? well, they didn't like it ,atleast right now. "timing isn't right" she said. >sigh< but they completmented every other aspect of it, lighting, color, blah blah blah. its all bullnanney unless your getting paid. amd i'm not, so it's bullnanney. i need to get to mexico in february people! com'on, help me out a little! so it's upsetting. but they said i should resubmit it in a month or so, so we'll see. keep your fingers crossed for me! cause it is the coolest set ever, even though they don't think so! so tongue

what is everyone else donig this weekend?

oh oh, and in light of just capturing that polygamist crazy man, i bought "under the banner of heaven" by john kaukauer (sp?). its about strict mormon religion and to what lengths people will go to keep their faith. i read the the first chapter and its pretty damn fucked up.

holy crap, it's been a while. i suck at these online journals sometimes.

alright, life? it's been busy. heres the rundown:

i've been working two jobs lately. mostly 6 day work weeks. i've gotten lucky these past two weeks to have a "normal" 5 day work week. so that's why i'm here, to tell all of you lovely people what the hell is going on!

i swam in the ocean for my first time last week. yes i was a deprived child and never saw the ocean until i was 19 and 2 years later, finally swam in the damned thing. why is it so freakin' salty?

tonight i'll hopefully do some whitewater kayaking. work on the skills. maybe go over a 10 foot waterfall. we'll see how i'm feeling when we get on the water.

anyhow, hope everyone is well!

i'll leave more details latah.

man, i just had some of this fake chicken morningstar makes with some BBQ and hot damn those things were good! they even LOOKED like chicken! whoa, imitation meat really surpises me and scares me all at the same time.

so the last couple of weeks, the most exciting thing that's been happening is kayaking. i've gained some huge experience these last couple of times out on the river and my confidence on the water has increased greatly. i've done my first "T" rescues. for all those non boaters out there, what that is when someone who doesn't know how to roll back up when they flip over (me) , they hang out upside down underwater until one of their buddies nudges the side of your boat with the front of theirs and you use them to help you flip back up.

i also did my first rock spin this monday. a rock spin is this fun trick to do on whitewater when there is a flat rock just above the water on an angle. you charge at it with mighty speed and pivet your boat while your on the rock. i didn't really know what i was doing when i did it, but it all worked out and i even stayed upright! whoohooo!

other than boating, i've been working 6 days a week. which is beginning to take a toll on me. i'm missing my weekends in portland. lounging around at the parks with a book in one hand a latte in the other. >sigh<

guess what movie comes out this friday.....

talladega nights!

will farrell, i love you and your gangley teeth.

how cool is that? one of my new sets went up! so it shouldn't be too much longer until the greatest set ever goes up. i'm so anxious to see how it turned out, i put some extra effort into it so i'm sure everyone will enjoy seeing it as much as i did shooting it!

for all the people leaving comments on my new set that goes something like this..."nice set, but please shave the pits" : FUCK YOU.

no one asked you to continue looking at my set once you learned i don't ritualistically prune myself of my natural body hair. you voluntarily checked me out, don't like the hairy underarms? its simple, don't look at me naked.

and for all of those who praised me for it: thanks! i appreciate all nice, sweet compliments everyone has left me that push me to be who i am and continue to have confidence because of that. thank you thank you thank you.

why the hell is summer going by so fast?? i feel like, compared to last summer, not a lot has happened. the only thing i am happier about this summer than i am from last is that i'm finally getting some time in on the motorcycle. i've probably put more miles on it in the last two months that in the 2 and half years i've owned her. so i suppose i don't much to complain about.

theres a heat advisory until sunday night. horray. (notice the sarcasim) i am NOT going to be happy about putting on my boots and gear before hitting the road to HR tonight. mabye it'll have cooled down by then...

alright, so many good movies are coming out. lets see whats on the list:

1) the new will farrell movie, the one about him being a nascar driver. will farrell is god.
2) scanner darkly, finally an interesting film in which they've used that killer animation that was used to make waking life. but this film actually has a story. i wish i liked waking life better, it was a dude babbling with his friends about the complexities of life. blah. could've been better.
3) i wish the reviews of lady in the water were better. i wish M. Night still made gloomy movies like his earlier sixth sense
4) Little man, i have a thing for small black men.
5) that was a joke. a bad one at that. puke

is it obvious that i'm bored? i hate those moments when you have all this anxious excitement because once you leave this place (work) it all gets better. the moment i step out, the pace picks up, i just HATE that waiting. but hey! its already 4pm and i'm almost done.....YAY!

oh, and for all of those who like to look at me naked, there should be a new set of me coming up soon. so keep your eyes out! BUT, after this one, expect my best set ever. hopefully they'll love it a lot and put it ASAP. cause its freakin' cool as hell. have i mentioned how much i love London for taking my photos? cause i do.
