Below is an email I've sent to Missy regarding my feelings towards the site. I cannot blindly support anything that I truly do not believe in. I'd like to thank all of the wonderful comments members and other SG's have left me since my first set going live. I've always appreciated it!

Upon learning about the way Missy deals with SG's who are in disagreeance of how she is running the site, I will likely be black bagged. So if that is the case, I bid you farewell and if you have any comments about this, feel free to email me at petite_hands@yahoo.com.

Dear Missy (or to whom she has given the task of filtering her emails),

In these last several months, my opinion of what SG stands for and what it provides to the girls of the site has changed in a disappointing way. The first I ever saw of the site was five years ago and I distinctly remember being captivated by the idea and the women behind it. Upon moving to Portland just over 2 years ago, I applied to become an SG and was enthusiastically accepted.

I have to say that since my first set went live and now, I am not happy with the direction SG is headed. However, I am lucky enough to not fell enough attachment to the site to hold back how I feel.

Of the six sets I have shot, three have been rejected. I could write you and entire essay on how wrongly that word is used, on this site of all places (doesn't declined sound nicer?). All sets were shot by London, one of the sites most talented and popular photographers. Recently, due to the increase of new girls to the site, you've also requested "higher quality" sets. I understand your reasoning for this tactic but sadly, I do not believe that this is achieving your goal. By implementing this, you have begun to treat older SG's in a fashion that does not stand behind why you started this site in the first place.

You wanted to give strong, unique, and sexy women the opportunity to express themselves in a place with practically no boundaries. Along with this should come the obvious which is am important tool to keep any business running in a smooth fashion, respect. Respect for themselves and for the other women on the site. The least you could do is show us the same.

The information I have received from your model coordinators (they seem to change every month, I wonder why?) about why my sets were rejected are obviously untrue. What I can gather from the details are the white lies you've fed to them to then relay to us.

I was told by a believable source that the reasons you rejected one the sets is that you didn't like my short hair (yet we can't wear wigs) and my cut off jean shorts because it was all too "boyish". Maybe I AM a tomboy. And this IS the way I express myself. And in another set, you didn't like the lighting or the way it was shot. Perhaps you should be discussing this need for "higher quality" sets with your photographers, for this is something that most girls have no eye for. They cannot control what is happening behind the lens when they are modeling.

From someone who has worked for small businesses all her life, I hope that you do take my opinion into serious consideration for it is not that I am angry I will no longer be an SG, but because this is absolutely no way to running a business.

Yours Truly,
Corey

I mean no offense by this, but you sound as though you are just angry that your sets were not accepted. I understand there is more to it, but this letter you wrote does not, in my opinion, talk to enough about the reaons you are leaving. I am sad you will no longer be an SG becasue you are quite attractive. I hop ethis response was not taken wrong. Just voicing my opnion as an outsider reading your letter.

Good luck to you

I am in agreement... the site has gone downhill slightly since I had joined. I'm a male, and as much as I adore this site, still many of my favortie SG's are leaving due to similar reasons you have expressed and this bothers me. I even started a thread on here after the 1000 Suicide Girl was discovered, only to be shot down by both men and women alike. When I joined there were just over 750 girls on here, now there are almost 1,250! I liked how the site would casually put up sets daily and give memebers time to check them out, respond, and give words of support. but it came to a point of multiple sets were up daily--too many to keep track of! To meet that 1000th girl in my eyes, meant more $$$ for the site. It shouldn't be about $$$. Correct me if I'm wrong. Eitherway, I was appalled at the time to see so many "new girls" being added and their sets going up, as opposed to genuine unique sets, some of those from current members with multiple sets already under their belts waiting to continue contributing their artisitc abilities to the site. Many newer girls didn't impress me, not for their beauty (for they're ALL beautiful!) but their lack of originality and artistic expression....

This site is beyond porn, burlesque, and money.... its about art, womens rights, individuality, and freedom!

I tried cancelling my membership once my year ran out in September. However I missed the deadline and was duly charged anyway. It's not that I don't like the site, but just have lost respect for those running it. I honestly really liked your sets, and its a shame that all can't be displayed here! It also sucks that many SG's, such as yourself, are being ignored it seems. The site has gotten too big in my opinion!

I wish you well. Take care! and I wish you luck....

peace,

Sorry hon, I have to agree with "waiting4...." that this sounds a little like a cry from rejection.

I am sure that due to the demands of the subscribers that the level of quality and creativity has become more demanding. You can't really fault Missy, after all it is a growing business with a lot of media cover lately, and as a customer I do prefer the highest quality images and new themes. From what I can see it is still a great community for the ladies to have a strong womens network with just a little commercialism.. And most all the gents are hear to see the pics, and if they tell you otherwise they are full of (bleep bleep).

Sorry I am not in agreement, and please don't hold it against me...smiles

I actually know a few SGs who either quit the site altogether or have just stopped updating and sending in sets. They all have similar (or worse) stories to tell about why they quit. Frankly, I feel like there are so MANY girls that its ridiculous to try to keep up. And to be honest, I don't feel that many of the newer sets are all that creative or well photographed. The site just doesn't feel special anymore. I have stayed because of friends I've made on here and a handful of SGs that I still adore (James, Jessika, Twwly) ...You are doing the right thing in following your intuition, and good for you for sending an email explaining your reasons. They are valid. I took a second to read this entry because the first line caught my eye. I've noticed more than a few SG posts expressing disappointment in the site lately. Interesting indeed.

While I haven't really had time to keep track of the pace of the site, I have noticed that many of the 'newer' girls over the year seem more like something you'd see in playboy(no frame of reference personally) or something more mainstream. The few minutes I've spent on your shoots tonite show great potiential and perhaps Missy's just hit her limit of managables. I'm sure when there were dozens/hundreds of girls that she could do it on her own, but now that the site is 100 times larger than her debut its plausable that she's overwhelmed. Maybe she needs help in that respect and if that's the case could use some support. If that's not the case and she's lost her focus on the SG vision, then I hope it is something she regains before everyone jumps ship.

I can see how you would feel the way you described. But do you want to leave the site? Or are you still trying to look for a compromise.

I would hate for you to leave the site. Especially since getting the print you sent me and the e-mails back and forth in process. I do feel like I've gotten to know you in a way.

But I can definitly see your point so if it means having to leave the site, I hope that you and I can keep in touch afterwards.

Good luck with everything.

hey corabelle, i can absolutely understand what you're saying. there are stunningly beautiful sets being turned down from long time and wannabe sgs while unmodified, photoshopped sets go live. and the way dissenting models are simply removed gestapo-style is disgusting. i will miss you if you leave but if you believe suicidegirls is better left behing you then i applaud your decision. and just to remind you, your declined sets were fantastic.
good luck baby xox

I have been a member for a year, and in that year SG has definitely changed. Obviously I can only speak as a customer of the site, but there does seem to be less emphasis on "strong and unique" women. I can't quite put my finger on it, but the old SG site seemed to have more personality. Anyway, nice letter.

PS. I like your short hair. smile

....i joined sg at the wrong time (a couple months ago...) lots of my favorite girls are leaving.
and i can see why. i've seen some of the rejected sets, from loootttts of girls, and they are AMAZING. and they get reasons like "bad lighting" or "your facial expressions don't vary enough." buuuuut, there are a loot of new sets where the girls have the same looks on their face in each shot, and all the sets are all photoshopped up, so what would be the big deal about bad lighting? and i hate to say this, but, as popular as quinne is, her last 2 sets are *yawn* oh well. hope they don't drag out archiving you like they did bast. good luck lady. you're BEAUTIFUL....xoxoxox love
