One of the great things about having dated lil_tuffy is becoming immersed in the world of rock posters. Seeing the design process from beginning to end is just amazing. It combines two of my favorite things: art and rock and roll. I was lucky enough to go to many shows with Tuffy, selling posters, seeing great live shows, seeing people purchase an original piece of art, slaved over by Tuffy, and sometimes me. It is so rewarding when people are excited by your art, or even collecting every one of your posters from show to show!

Today is a gathering of Noise Pop artists. Almost every Noise Pop show is having a unique poster created for it. Many Bay Area artists like Tuffy, Jason Munn, Justin Walsh, and the guys at the Firehouse will be represented. It should be a great show, everyone should check it out if you're in SF! I'll be there. smile

from what i understand, part of lil_tuffy creative process involves
reading sheep's entrails. as a vegan, how did you feel about that?
i think the ends justify the means in this case -
his posters are da bomb.

Wow, that sounds very cool. They had a huge thing like that at SXSW last year. Unfortunately, I didn't get to go. Don't know if they are doing it this year or not. It may sound trite, but I really dig Frank Kozik's work. I bought a really cool one of his off eBay recently. It was for that Man's Ruin record label, with that cool lookin' cat head on it. Know what I'm talking about? Well, it's rolled up in my closet right now. Must frame it soon. Hope you are doing well. Good weekend? Sure as hell hope so!

It was a bummer. I got there about 8:45, and all the cool kids were gone. I ran across lil_tuffy and Requiem a block away.
