One thing that stops me is wondering if working behind the scenes would kill the mystique for me of my current favorite band. Interpol was my previous favorite (I don't consider Nick Cave to be a band; solo with band) and I got down with Paul but it didn't hurt my imagery of the band.

And you like Julian? I find it flat but I'm going to keep listening to prepare for the show. It's just so mellow compared to Interpol of course. Not as dark either but it's rad you like him. Good taste!

Yup, the mystique is super important, esp when you start collecting expensive covers...that might suck. I am still thinking. Maybe I'll have a revelation at work with how to approach it without making an ass of myself.
