Yes! After having been mysteriously lost for over three weeks, the postal service finally found my package with perfume oils from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab yesterday! I thought I'd never get them so I was excited to try out scents with names such as Nosferatu, Debauchery and Voodoo. They smell divine and make me feel pretty evil. (Win/win.)
The other night some friends and I went to see Lil' Wayne which was hilarious. Dude sure can put up a show but he can't play guitar for shit! It was definitely unplugged and he didn't really play a single chord so I'm not sure what the point even was other than to look cool. Anyhow, I don't go to a lot of hip hop gigs but have fun checking one out every once in a while.
In case you've ever wondered why I haven't mentioned school in some time, that's because I haven't been going in over a year. I decided to go back and pick up where I left off so I can get my degree in International Music Management after 5+ years and go on tour full-time for a while. We'll see how that goes. Either way, my thesis proposal (a research paper on the popularity of vinyl records) has been approved(!) so that's a big step in the right direction.
Here are some brand new albums I've been listening to lately... Check them out, these are all great bands/people that deserve your support.
Baroness - Blue Record
Converge - Axe To Fall
Rise And Fall - Our Circle Is Vicious
Sights & Sounds - Monolith
In other news, I'll be submitting another set to Member Review for your viewing pleasure in the near future so keep your eyes peeled for that, but until then you can let them wander...
