There's nothing that makes me happier than discovering old Ryan Adams recordings that I didn't know about yet. Like the Destroyer Sessions with David Rawlings and Gillian Welch, which date back to right before he started work on Heartbreaker. It's fascinating to me hearing versions of songs that were never released and years later being (partially) used for studio albums. Like how Hey There, Mrs. Lovely became These Girls and parts of Vampire came back as Fuck The Universe. It's like having a backstage pass to someone's mind.
