Oh the things that happen when I am way to busy and overwhelmed to pay attention to world events, so I only find out about them via readings my friends SG journals.

The count is currently 5 dead and 13 injured, of which 4 seriously.
Also the suspect is himself seriously injured.

Right after the incident the suspect has admitted to police officers aiding the man, that he had committed his act willingly, and as an attempt to hurt the royal family.

Though his planning was obviously well timed, his means were not well planned. A 750kilo Suzuki Swift would not be likely to have been able to harm the open-roofed bus the royal family was transported in.
The idiot drove into the crowd at approxiametly 100km/h, hoping to plough through them and hit the royal bus.

I can only imagine he believed the images Hollywood movies leave us of such actions, where cars drive through gates and fences all the time with hardly a scratch on them.
This Suzuki however was heavily damaged after hitting 17 people (some of which were literally flying through the air) and the fence, and the driver was obviously unable to see anything through the broken windshield. Also he seemed knocked out as he missed the bus by a reasonable margin, and ploughed into a national monument.

Beware of looking up videos on this incident. Some of them are rather graphic in nature, with people (a kid and two grown-ups) and limbs flying around. There are also pictures available of the idiot himself, with a bleeding head lying out his car window after the crash. Not something everyone can handle.
