These Things Are Facts:

1. I was part of the way through writing this when my computer decided to take a shit- first time in a long time I have lost a post like that. Grrrr! I don't know if it is this new DSL or my computer just getting older and older. I need an upgrade.

2. I worked the SG booth at comic-con this year! I did it 2 years ago, the first year SG was there, and WOW the booth was way more packed this time. I was there Friday and Saturday, and it was a whirlwind of answering questions, posing for photos, gladhandling, costumes, going without food, sweating, signing things and multi-tasking like a motherfucker. Whew! I had a great time, but it really wore me out.
I got to see my lovies James, Rigel, Nixon, Amina and Odette, and I met so many great girls- Vivid, Squeak, Antigone, Dice, Bob, Coley, Desdemonia, Blaze and so many others!
I was also signing and selling an art print that Bawidamann did of me:


Isn't it awesome!! I'm such a lucky girl.

3. Metalhead by Miss Kittin is my current jam. It makes me give lap dances to invisible men in my living room.

4. Yes, I got sucked into those vampire books. I made a conscious decision to buy into a current cultural craze because so often I avoid anything with an avid and immediate fan base. I just ordered book 3 and hope it gets here soon because I am almost done with book 2. It's not that they're the best books in the world- they're just so damn readable.

5. Trixie and I had the webcam out on chat last night. We LOVED your boobies, sin!

What a ridiculously busy and crazy couple of weeks.
Why slow down now?
I'll be at the SG booth at Comic-Con on Friday and Saturday. I'll be signing this wickedly sexy cartoon of me, and the artist will be there as well. Looking forward to meeting some new SGs and seeing some faces I've been missing... James and Nixon to name a couple!

The whole have-to-move-out debacle turned out like this:
I am getting my own place.
Trixie and her bro are moving to Portland.
Yes, my lovely best friend with the beautiful nipples and the gypsy soul are moving on once again...
I can't say I blame her. San Diego doesn't offer quite as much for girls like us as, say, the bay area, hollywood, seattle, portland...
But she's my rock, my heart, and I am crushed that she is leaving.
On top of that, I am scurrying about doing all of this myself: getting a place, a moving truck, boxes, gas & electric, cable, internet, packing, stressing, trying to catch up in school, working my ass off, missing my man, faking joviality and remembering everything that has happened in this house I've come to know as home. Whew.
No wonder I can't sleep.

And yet.
The future holds I promise I'm eager to discover.

Today, I take a little drive inland for the night to celebrate the fact that a certain amazing man and I have been together for a whole year...
