“june 15th 2007 i entered canada as a "temporary visitor". this meant no canadian work, no healthcare, no banking, half of my belongings being stuck in the uk and no permanent address.
after a long year of waiting, it's finally over. today was the day. we drove down to the port roberts land crossing to make it official.this was part of our drive down there - the george massey tunnel. the rain made the tunnel reflective and pretty. coming out of the other side is much like i felt after getting everything checked and officially stamped.
i am now finally an official candian resident.”
