I'm going away again for a bit... not that I've been around that much lately.

I've been doing too much of this:

Yes, that would be http://www.puzzlepirates.com I'm on Hunter Ocean. Look me up sometime. Online RPGs are the best, especially if they are entirely puzzles.

Talking of video games... I saw the trailers for Fallout 3 today. Ohmygodiamsoexcited. This is the first video game release for YEARS to have truly got me excited. And this is coming from a girl that once her whole life was video games. Did I ever tell you that I used to review them? That's right... Sega Saturn and Playstation games.

That was a really long time ago now. I'm feeling a bit old lately. Of course, I am by no means OLD but, well... I could try and explain to you, but half of you would "get" me and the other half would tell me to shut up and stop being so stupid.

I guess, it's just dawning on me that the 90s weren't only a couple of years ago anymore. More and more I say things like "oh that was in 1997, that wasn't that long ago!" and then I realise, that actually, yes, it was over 10 years ago now.

Blahblahblah. I'm not old, but I am an adult and many of my most vivid and fondest memories happened 10-15 years ago or so and I guess that never really occurred to me before.

Enough talk from me, I have to finish packing. Just wanted to check in before I leave. Really, you want to interact with me? Puzzle Pirates is probably your best bet (although not much for the next 10 days). I am such an escapist.

These are really starting to rack up! It's almost getting embarrassing, being the longest running remote photographer on SG.

I thought you might be interested to see my sets as they go into member review, so I am simply going to list them here. I am getting more and more in there I have shot on film, and I know some of you are keen on those.

Thanks to you guys, both Archie's, Ala's, India's and Pirate's sets have made it to the front page, so far.

Ha. I know exactly what you mean about thinking about the 90's and not realizing just how long ago they were. Funny how that stuff works.

have fun and safe trip doll!! puzzle pirate sounds super neato! i think if i attempted to play i would get hooked and wouldn't leave the house haha. though im curious.. hmm, i wonder if pirate has heard or played it before. Hope to see you when you return! Im leaving the Country for almost two months at the end of August to go to Manila for work so hopefully all us BC girlies can do a bbq or beach picnic of sort when you return and before i leave. P.S. i also feel old and im only 26 haha.

See you again soon i hope. Now, about that game, I should stay away from it or i'll get even less done than I already do, which would be simply disastrous for everyone.

Must. Fight. Urge. To play.

I don't think I can get my head around Time. Take The Matrix for example. That was almost 10 years ago! But it feels like nothing. And it was probably one of the first things that had a direct impact on who I am today since it was that movie that got me interested in rock music which led to industrial which led to techno etc. But if The Matrix came out this year then 10 years ago would of been 88/89. Which is a long time ago. I don't know if that makes sense but it's something I think about too much.

I know what you mean about feeling old. Tetris no longer looks cutting edge. Puzzle Pirates looks cool though.

I still think that the nineties was just a few years ago, I'm shocked when people who aren't even too much younger than I am have never heard of music that was an every day part of my life. xxx x

I hope you have a lovely time, let us know how it went and spoil us with some pictures, okay?
Knowing fuck all about computer games I can't really contribute anything useful to this discussion, but yes, the 90s finished a lot longer ago than it seems.
Oh, and I have a camera again!! biggrin love

Fallout 3 has been banned in Australia for the moment because of the depictions of drug use. There's no R18+ rating over her so anything that looks like its going towards that territory either gets banned or released in a censored version (like GTAIV, though that wasn't too different from the US/European version).
It makes me very sad. frown

I'm the same with dates like that... I think of something even like 2003 or 2004 and its so long ago and so much has happened in the meantime. Its slipping away.
