Announcement: If you're wondering why you've been removed from my "friends" basically, I just had a sudden urge to cut it down dramatically. I don't really know why, just too much fluff around and I needed to vacuum.

I did actually bookmark a good number of those of you whom I deleted and I urge anyone who enjoys keeping up with my photo journals to do the same. Click here to Bookmark my journals. (Note, this is not the same as a browser "bookmark" it puts my updates in the same place as your friend's updates).

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

You'll notice that even all of my "real life" friends are no-longer on my "friends" list so please please don't be offended! It is nothing personal to anyone, the only people left on there are SG staff or photographers. I do have lots of you bookmarked though! No more competition to be my "friend" hooray!

For the record All of my top friends are my favourite SG photographers that were already on my friend's list. Yay!

I don't usually like explaining any intentions behind my art or projects, but I am going to make an exception. It was probably difficult to see when observing these photos day-by-day, but I hope it comes through clearly when you look at the photos in sequence, like this.

I was intending all along, with the order of the photos not only to capture the natural progression, wilting and decay cycle of autumn but also the shortening of days; with the photos gradually getting later and later in the day and ending in the late, dark evening.

Vancouver seems to be at just the right latitude to really see the full effect of the shortening of days. In Scotland it happens too quickly (as it is too far north), in more southern parts of the world I am guessing that the change is negligible or much slower.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In answer to many requests I've had I'll also be offering individual prints. I've also been asked for price guides so that people can put money aside.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

These are my estimates. They are subject to change, but hopefully won't be too different, but will depend on production costs, time and materials.

Individual prints (8x10/12x8 etc.): $50 incl. Shipping. There will be discounts for several purchases.

Professionally produced book: $60 + Shipping. (roughly 60+ pages)

Handmade book: $350 (these will all be personal, handmade by me, numbered and signed and the pages made with 30 real archival prints and high quality book paper and include 1 polaroid on the cover of each). These will be made to order and I will be taking deposits of $100 with the full amount to be paid when your book is ready. Payments can also be deferred until next year and paid in instalments to give as many people the opportunity to own one as possible. Deposits will only be taken until January 1st 2008.

Again, these are extremely rough prices. I am reluctant to post them but after about 15 messages asking so people can budget I figured it'd be a good idea.

I am happy to announce there will definitely be a "30 days of Winter". Although, not all of it in Vancouver. Some of it way up north in the Yukon!

Thanks for posting all the photos together. It's cool how each one stands on its own, while at the same time contributing to the whole group of pictures. The book is going to be really nice, that's for sure.

Congratulations to Mr. Brodeur on his 500th win.
But, did it really have to come against the Flyers?
