I'm applying for a settlement visa, which used to be called a spousal visa? Depending on what the assessors decide I'll either be given permanent residency or a 2 year visa which I can extend later.

Its a bit of a nightmare really and is costing a fortune, but worth it all in the end.

No idea of the time in Australia now (And its far too early here to do complex maths like that...) so good luck if you havent had your appointment yet or hope it went well if you have already been! I'm sure it'll all be fine! Trust me I'm a doctror...
