I'm the same way with my birthdays, I just try not to acknowledge mine...but people always make a fuss.

I don't celebrate my birthdays much anymore either. Its definately a special day but not in a must have a party sort of day. Just a day to celebrate that you're here.

I know what you mean about birthdays, and I've now decided each is to be savoured. Heck it's only once a year so I say go for it...and I've got months to plan for mine in August so it's gonna be awesome

A close friend had similar surgery and has never regretted it for a moment. I'll be thinking of you and hope it all goes well. My comsierations on the diet though! *hug*

LOL Spring is definately sprung here too, but not sure I've falled asleep...yet...it's only a matter of time.
