I think some misunderstood my last entry: Women use sex for love. Men use love for sex.
I liked reading everyone's take on it. Here's what I think:

This statement reminds me of when you first meet someone. In almost all of my experiences with men, they are very sweet, very romantic and very attentive in the beginning. I like the beginning because it makes me think there's the possibility of love in the future. So, I give it up. Why not? He's so sweet. So romantic. Almost always attentive. And TA-DA.... the statement becomes a truism.

It's just how we're wired. Women are more emotional creatures so it makes sense that their goal is emotionally nurturing. Men are physical, ergo, their goal is the physical.

Of course, like some of you have said, there are those moments when the two sync up. That does happen. And it's awesome.

So, what do you do when you don't get the desired end result?

On a lighter note, my boyfriend said this to our son today: "Aw, you took your hand off your wiener to wave bye to me..."

Naturally... there are exceptions to this "rule".

I seem to frequently attract the masculine-inclined women. They have sex for sex's sake. If she likes the dude afterward... MAYBE she'll date him.

If I may, a better question is what happens when you get the end result. For alot of guys, the end result is sex. The pursuit of sex drives the relationships forward. Once you get it, the easy initial driving force can give way to boredom, melancholy or intimacy. Intimacy is far more difficult to cultivate and maintain than sex.

Sex drives us to do many things but men stay in commited relationships not just because it provides them with regularly scheduled booty but because we like having a partner, someone to share our live with ask the thousands of men who stayed married when their wives gave them almost no sex.

Men are complex creatures maybe not as complex as women and we are all different in our own way. I have heard one of the most sexiest people I know cry over the fact that he has been unable to build a relationship out of the hundreds of hookups he has enjoyed throughout the years. The point is men need love too we also are obsessed with sex. My advice would be to take advantage of this instead of complaining about it. Be aware that your boyfriend, husband and father are all thinking about every pretty girl that walks by the amazing thing is that there are those of us out there who's attatchment to that one person is so strong that they are able to with stand all that desire. Our balls make us horny for everything but sometimes our heads prevail.
