It's a little early, but Happy Halloween everyone.

Forget "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and watch this instead:

I can't believe it's been over a year since I last posted a blog! A lot has happened since then. I've been busy with life and having too much fun.

I gave birth to my wonderful daughter on May 2, 2010. I shared the birth story in the Pregnant group but I'll repost it here in spoilers for anyone not a part of the group that really wants to know. Warning: it's lengthy and a bit...detailed.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

On Saturday May 1st, I lost my mucus plug at noon. I got really excited and started going to town getting the place ready. My procrastinating self finally put together the baby crib and set up some decorations on the walls. Later at midnight I started to feel what felt like BH contractions but started to get concerned. Around 2 am they started to have a definite crampy feel and a definite peak of pain so I started timing them. At 4:30 am Daniel and I scrambled and packed what was left for our hospital bags because the contractions were coming every five minutes.

We arrived at the hospital a little before 5 am and I was dilated to 3 cm and having pretty steady contractions so they admitted me. I kept using deep cleansing breaths to get through each contraction and paced around the room with Daniel holding my hand, being my wall to lean on, rubbing my back, and generally being wonderful. Daniel's mother and my three sisters showed up to watch the excitement. The contractions were getting harder so I rocked on the birthing ball and asked the staff to set up the pool in the room.

After a few hours of laboring in the deliciously warm water I was curious how much I'd dilated. I was shocked to hear I was 6 cm. Soon I started to turn more inward closing my eyes and just taking cat naps between contractions. Then when each one would come I would think to myself "Okay Annabel we have work to do, let's work together to make our delivery gentle and easy" and I'd slowly rise my body out of the water breathing in and then lower my body back into the warm water breathing out.

Soon I started to feel a little pushy so they checked me again and I was 8 cm. The midwife practice I was seeing wouldn't deliver my baby in the pool so I had to get out. At this point all the family left the room and it was just Daniel and I. I got on my knees and hunched over the birthing ball gently pushing at only the peak of each contraction. After about an hour and a half of this I started to feel like pushing throughout the duration of my contractions and moved to the bed. I got up on my knees, facing the head of the bed and leaned over the back of it where Daniel stood holding my hand. He kept reminding me to breath slowly when I would start to breathe too quickly, helping me to stay focused.

The nurse and midwife left the room and said they'd come back to check on me in a little bit. While they were out of the room I noticed something soft and leathery bulging out. I was in shock and didn't believe it could be my baby's head because I thought crowning would be a lot more painful. Daniel went and grabbed the staff and they confirmed I was crowning. I pushed with their encouragement and soon, at 4:49 pm, out plopped my little piglet with no tearing! They handed her to me from behind, between my legs, and I brought her to my chest. She immediately stopped crying once she was close to me and she began to look around the room so bright eyed and alert. I never felt so in love in my life. Soon she started rooting so I got her to latch on to my breast where she stayed suckling for a good hour and a half.

All the staff was floored by how calm and collected I was throughout the entire thing. My midwife said she'd delivered 1500 babies and that I was exceptional. Daniel bragged to all the family saying that I reminded him of a Shaolin monk throughout my labor. I owe it to my wonderful hubby for being there every step of the way and to my little Annabel for working with me so well.

So yeah...there was that....kinda took up a lot of my time tongue

I moved twice this year of 2011, getting ready to do my third one in one more week...back to OHIO! Yay! I'm now a military wife, it's been quite an experience so far.

In other news, I'm now expecting a boy in March of 2012.

Basically, I'm in no position to be putting new sets out any time soon. But, I'm very glad to have the friends and groups on here that I do and enjoy perving on some pics every now and then tongue Hope everyone's been doing well, I'm sure I missed a lot. Peace and Love <3

Sooo I might be having a 420 baby, haha! Sorry I've been a Lurking McLurkerson lately.

Anyway, I can't sleep even though I should be trying to. I've been having contractions for the last three hours and they are starting to hurt. It would be way cool if I indeed have this baby today because:

1. My coworker has been telling me all along that I should have the baby on 4/20
2. Today and tomorrow are usually my hubby's days off anyway so he wouldnt need to call in to work
3. 4/20 is the first day of Taurus and I said my baby is not allowed to be an Aries and must wait to be a Taurus
4. At work yesterday a customer asked when I was due and they thought I said "1 or 2 days" when in fact I said "1 or 2 weeks" (guess they heard right after all)
5. She totally gave us a peace sign in her ultrasound, so being born on 4/20 to the Bob Marley music I've picked out for laboring would totally suit her

Hmm, I guess I'll go try to get some restful sleep now, it may be the last I ever get for a long time tongue

Update: (April 20th, 11:56 PM)
So I went to bed and the contractions petered out by the time I woke up in the morning. I guess Annabel decided 420 is not the right birthday for her. Thanks for all the well wishes, she'll be here soon enough smile

I'm broke and trying to think of cool gifts I can make or nifty inexpensive gifts I can buy. Any ideas? What are you guys doing for your family? *sigh*

Ultrasound tomorrow. I will know if I'm having a boy or a girl so long as baby cooperates. love

Thanks for all the kind comments and hearty congratulations on my last blog. smile Me and baby are doing fine. I'm at 12 and a half weeks now. We heard the heartbeat at the beginning of this month which was way cool (even though we got pulled over by a sheriff on the way to the hospital and got a $114 ticket whatever ) Fuckin cops.

I've found a new hobby I rather enjoy. I find that going for walks is pretty therapeutic on its own, but slowing down to appreciate everything and to take pictures along the way is even more relaxing. What is usually a half hour walk turned into a two hour walk. Here are some things that caught my and Daniel's eye. (we took turns with the camera, most of them are mine though. he hated and deleted a lot of his):

Well it's time to shamelessly promote my new set "Pussy Cat" that comes out tomorrow, shot by the fabulous AlissaBrunelli:

So before you go to work tomorrow remember to check it out while drinking your cup of coffee (or redbull...it gives you wings).

</shameless self promotion>

And now for something completely different:

I am moved into my new apartment and loving it. We have recycling at our new place which we didn't have before, so I am stoked about that. And it's a very good neighborhood so i've taken up the routine of jogging everyday. My last neighborhood was awful so I never would have gone jogging. If it gives you any idea...I lived there for just a year and in that one year 2 out of our 3 vehicles were broken into.

The bartending job has been stressful and not all it was cracked up to be. My manager breathes down my neck and watches everything I do now, and has suggested that I've been giving away free shit. I pride myself on being a very trustworthy, honest person so I was pretty peeved about that accusation. Oh and I found out that corporate frequently checks the facebook profiles of every employee......kinda big brotherish and creepy. One of my coworkers put up pictures from when the assistant manager, on a slow day, doused one of the employees with water and covered her with flour for fun. Within about two weeks corporate had seen it and asked that the picture be removed.

Been taking a long break from World of Warcraft and instead have been consumed with the fifth Harry Potter book; will soon be finished with it. I will not allow myself to watch any of the movies until after I've read the book. I have a lot of catching up to do.

I went to Hell City back in May and met a bunch of cool ladies as well as got to see some pretty ladies I'd met before. That was much fun. biggrin

Took a trip to New Jersey in June and got to experience the lovely beach there. I also got to learn how to navigate the train system. And then my flight back home got cancelled and had to stay an extra day.

Now I'm back to work and bartending now (finallyyyyyyyyy). My apartment is a crazy mess and I have to move out by the end of this month. I am NOT looking forward to all the packing, deep cleaning, and moving but I am definitely looking forward to moving into a better neighborhood and a place that feels more like a home.

I made a playlist that fits my mood really well right now. go check it out for some chill music smile

Time for an update:

let's see....after much waiting I will finally start bartending training in a week or so at my work.

I got a new tattoo in the center of my upper back, pictures to come later.

I have a new set coming to member review that I shot with Shazzy while in Vegas.

I got my first pedicure ever a few days ago and I think I'm addicted now.

Mirawyn, my NE shadow priestess hit 70 (only ten more to go).

Aaaaaaand I plan on going to Hell City if my manager will approve my request-off and I can find a place to stay. woot woot!

hope all is well with you, my doves
