Hi everyone
Sorry I haven't done a blog in such a long time, I've had a fair bit of stuff going on recently.
First, I was going to wait a bit but I'm getting impatient
. I have a set pending at the moment! I really hope it gets accepted, it's been such a long time since I had a set out. I was suppose to go to London for the shootfest but unfortunately I got flu so couldn't make it. Boooooo! (Keep your eyes pealed for all the gorgeous UK girls with sets coming out! I've seen a few previews, they're super hot!!) This is actually a set I shot quite a while ago with MetalManatee but due to a combo of us both not being well I have only just been able to submit it. Super excited and so Fing nervous at the same time.
Well, what has been happening since I last updated?
Just before Christmas our fucking boiler broke and we ended up not having any heating or hot water for 6 weeks
It was really frustrating and I felt like I was literally loosing my mind. Luckily my psych is awesome and helped me through it, even offering to talk to my landlord for me. I think getting through that (as well as other stuff) has kinda shown me how far I have come. In the past that situation would have destroyed me, using my DBT skills I was able to sort things out and even negotiate a rent reduction for the 6 weeks. Go me! Learning to be assertive
I got the dreaded brown letter through a few months back and basically just stared at it and hoped it would go away until Feb when I finally got the courage to fill in the DLA renewal form. For about a month I convinced myself that with all the evidence in the world I would still fail and have to go to tribunal. Not this time though, I got the letter back saying that I have been awarded middle rate care and low mobility
It was such a weight off and makes things a little easier. I might actually be able to do stuff now and have a life, I haven't had a day out in about a year other than going to the shop and back. When it worms up a bit the fella is going to take me to Chester zoo using the back pay to see baby animals
I also got my bus pass after months of waiting, this has made a HUGE difference coz I was spending about £30 a week just on getting to appointments before. I can now use any train for free in my county and any bus in England (not that I am a fan of buses coz they scare the shit out of me but its good for emergencies).
College is going well, I'm onto my main project now so I'm actually building a website from scratch. I'm loving the practical work but as usual I'm struggling with the written side of things. We have to have a proposal for the site and although I have all the work, it's in the form of pictures and notes. I have to somehow form it into coherent sentences that other people can understand.
Health update:
DBT is going really well, I do feel like I have made some improvements
I still get frustrated and fly off the handle but I am calming down a lot quicker now. It's also been quite a while since I last self harmed, I had a little blip when the stuff with the boiler happened but that's it. For me that is really good
I truly hope it lasts.
With the physical stuff we think we may have some bits worked out and others are getting there. My psych from CMHT is looking into getting me tested for dyspraxia which it seems I have pretty much all the main symptoms for. After looking into it myself and talking to people on a dyspraxia forum it does seem to fit and a lot of my behaviours seem to make sense.
I also had an appointment with MCAS (specialists that look at your skeleton and muscles) and she did a bunch of tests. She feels that because there is such a lot going on and not just isolated to my legs being a bit funky that it is best to send me to neurology. They will have a look at my brain and spine and see if there's anything dodgy going on there. Hopefully I will finally get some answers.
I think that's about it so have this silly dog picture for Easter

Take care everyone

Hiya everyone
This is just a quick one because I did a thing
In DBT group we are doing radical acceptance and willingness and wilfulness. As part of the home work we had to "paint a picture" of ourselves when being wilful so I did this.

I think it is a pretty good likeness for me when I'm all moody.
Hope everyone is good
