No point in blocking an IP. Can use a different computer or if they're really good with computers, lets say a hacker, you just go through another computer, so on so fourth. Even if tumblr continued to block IP addresses, not just one or two, they'll come right back. What do you do? Ignore them. Don't mention them in blogs or anything. Unless this person is creeping around where you live, or hacking accounts, ignore them.

But from what I get from shit, most of what your describing is some jack ass that knows how to google and that has way too much time on their hands. I'd just ignore them.

You definitely need to document these threats and get law enforcement involved. If you have money, hire a private investigator. Either way, you are putting yourself in danger by not involving people who can protect you. I mean, it could be a sour ex-boyfriend or something, but I wouldn't take the chance. I have no idea how to proceed here. It's true that with some Computer skills and google, lots of things can be found out. But if they specified something that is really personal or frightening, I would be weary.

This gives a breakdown of the cyberharassment and cyberstalking laws. I'm not sure how helpful this will be to you, but I do recommend educating yourself on this. I also encourage you to report this to the authorities. This might be nothing other than someone being an asshole, but I wouldn't really take that chance, as it also could be a credible threat to you.

Though this might be some creepy jerk with too much time on his/her/its hands, don't take any chances. Do whatever you can to stay safe, including not going out alone (this goes for Maple, too, I'm sorry to say). Having tumblr block the person's IP address may not work for the reasons given above, but having them trace it may help the police identify the stalker. Take screenshots and/or print out copies of the messages to take to the police so they can see the increasingly threatening tone.
The stalker is probably full of shit when it says it's been in your house, but try to make a mental note of how you arrange things in your home (right down to how you put your underwear in the drawer) so you'll know if anything may have been disturbed. I hate the thought that you might end up living in fear because some jerk/lunatic has gotten fixated on you.

I tried that link again on fb but it still hasn't let me really report it, although I noticed the blurb in the about me section changed, and the person stated that they were going by whatever name they put there as a fake name to keep anonymity on the Internet. so idk that was weird. but I'd say report it to the police. I know it may seem extreme and might be weird but I think your safety is most important and it's better to be safe than sorry. plus knowing where you live, or even claiming to would freak me out. you're a regular person, and a very nice one at that, you deserve peace of mind and shouldnt have to deal with bull shit like this.
