HEY YALL! I'M STILL ALIVE AND KICKIN
just been real busy. i don't really know where to start. i just got my grades back, straight a's for days, suckers. the last month or so has been pretty intense, and tomorrow i start my LAST FUCKING QUARTER of college. i'm pretty stoked off that cause it's been long enough, like long enough as in i've been in school all my fuckin life. and i'll probably be in another few as soon as i balls up and take my MCAT and try to get into medical school. a bachelors in bio doesn't get you as far these days. i always say i was born in the wrong era. but before that i decided to teach in china for a year, so i'll be in hong kong for a bit. starting in phom phenh, cambodia... i want to check out angkor wat, always have wanted to, and then i go to hong kong. YEE! i shall summon the chineseness in me and make lots of friends and eat dim sum every day and maybe even a fish or two.
i guess thats the big overall news. graduation and china. so i'll have a couple months to decompress after graduation in june. i can't believe its here. i remember being a punk ass kid in high school, getting kicked out and going to continuation school, talking shit to teachers, spitting in cops faces, ... only the bad ones though, never goin to class, fucking around, doing drugs, what the fuck ever
and i never thought i'd be the one to say i'm doing this now. and i wish more of my friends from back home could. unfortunately tragedy and wasted youth is a well known phenomenon in my tiny little bubble thats so seemingly perfect.

I went to New Orleans last weekend. I love it in the south. I want to live there someday. And thats where i'd like to have a family and raise my children. On lots of land, with a dirtbike track, some 4x4s a nice big porch, and those fuckin sacada things. The ones, you know, that make all that noise? I love that noise. A couple good friends of mine are in a band, you mighta heard of em, the Limousines? I got to interview them for SG! They're pretty rad, and i asked Missy if i could interview them. Well, they went on tour right when I asked so we just skyped and I asked them a bunch of stuff and picked their fancy, handsome little brains. Eric is also a really great writer. ........in any case, i just thought i'd post a little something because something super awesome happened. my friends eric and gio are in a band called the limousines- if you haven't heard them- watch this video. eric is also an author, a good one at that, so the lyrics are really good...and clearly you can see by this video they're not really your conventional band. they're eccentric and kinda crazy (right up my alley...) and that is why i love them. and they are two of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.
oh, and there's a carrina cameo in there too. bathtub status.
but really, i think erics the eye candy..... just sayin.

It's yours for 65$so i submitted some of my writing today to robert eringer. met him in a wine bar, along with bruce johnston of the beach boys. pretty random encounter, but my coworkers and i kicked it with them the whole time. i picked roberts brain about our favorite authors, films, etc.... writing...i found him fascinating and HE FOUND ME FASCINATING TOO and really wanted to read my shit. so i put together a huge pdf file of poems, prose, and a screenplay. IM REALLY EXCITED TO HEAR BACK.

salvaged a sad sea and sailed right over to me
at high tide and with tailor made tact, he traveled
and took aim in twilight at tumultuous tall twin peaks
it hit this heart, hailing down like a hawk head on,
like he hunted it down to heal a hemorrhaging hole
fate is not fabricated nor fictitious a flag he stuck
fearlessly in the earth, for sake of fascination
or labor less love a labyrinth of lilies and leaves
lie ahead laced with all kinds of lovely illuminating things.
3. Star Hunters
It took quite a few nights spent alone and screaming at the moon and wishing on the other planets for the stars to find their place in the sky.
Like a dandelion in a little kid hand, they wanted their souls not to be captured or killed, only held. Little sounds they make while sleeping only the ghosts can hear and they must seeth with jealousy, for what a lovely feeling it is to be a star and be alive.
The nature of darkness the stars knew well and those trees outside the windows they’d laugh when they'd see, the stars drank too much and sobriety is the long lost cousin of infidelity.
Constantly the Universe made a fine art of losing it's way and but it promised it would follow this road until the day comes and it's earth can’t stay. I heard it once say: I swear if I have to crawl my way desperately to this bed another day I'll burn it down to the floor along with these skyscrapers and cars and houses and shit they are just things, those things are little blue devils in disguise, they will own us all.
We have this whole life to live free, write beautifully and act accordingly, but the deepest words they’re constantly eluding me.
And the king of the stars told the Universe: there is a flaw in the evacuation plan and soon you’ll see that the fires and earthquakes and floods are not the worst of tragedies, there’s something else out to get me, but it lives in a place that no one can see, and routinely i question my own sanity.

IT IS A BASIC PRINCIPLE OF SCIENCE PEOPLE YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT IT... and look at boobs while learning.... isn't that fucking awesome??? new set! go look right meow. it's called occam's razor and for a reason, too. i'm a science major (and film minor) for those of you who don't know... and occam's razor is key to scientific experimentation. it has to do with the principle of parsimony, that's always best to explain a phenomenon in the simplest and most elemental terms. this isn't to say that if the answer facilitates more inquiry and explanation, that more isn't necessary- it's saying to provide the most simplest explanation for the theory at hand. and in this set we really had nothing to work with. our location kind of DOA and so i stripped the walls and the bed of almost everything. the only thing left is a clock and a bottle. now you know where my priorities lie. lol.

oh but i did want to say that my new obsession is anything wong kar wai. so far fallen angels and 2046 are my favorites. i'm getting really into chinese cinema... as a result of this amazing film class i'm in. HI YALL........i havent said hello in so long.......for like a million reasons namely i was like on my death bed but ding dong the witch is not dead. christmas was really nice i got to see my best friend since i was 10, he had been in rehab and was not doing very well at all this time last year. his mom and i keep in touch and she called to ask if i want to surprise him and his older brother at the airport picking them up from louisiana. I WAS SO HAPPY I CRIED HAPPY TEARS. SRSLY. so glad to have him back. he is amazing. he's the smartest, funniest man i've ever met. hes doing well now. i love him dearly and i'd probably take a bullet for him. yeah, i definitely would.
sidenote does anyone else get scratchers for xmas???? i swear my family is so amazingly white trash i got like twenty at least and a badass leatherman with like six tools. twas a good time up at clear lake.
in other news i hung out with DarrylDarko and visited Rambo at her cute little house, right in the middle of her making a cute little dinner. Darryl and I took a bunch of awesome photos. Some of them are now even in the queue.....
and then we also got to take fun fashion-y photos. we're trying to be creative these days and come up with cool ideas. we had a really fun sleepover and i literally looked at these crazy photography books for like 2 hours.. of the most morbid creepy shit.. and then another that was pulp style photos.... they reminded me of tarantino...so were going to do lots of fun stuff before i go back to santa barbara. i have like 2 weeks more off school and i couldnt be happier cause IM SO OVER COLLEGE I WANT TO GRADUATE RAWWWRRRR.
ALSO HAVE YOU SEEN THE MOVIE "FREAKS" ??!! if not you should watch it now they banned it forever and it ruined the directors career but it was such an epic movie.

on real note though, my iphone took a bath in a sink : ( i don't know A) WHY the sink was filled with water or B) why i threw the robe with my phone in the pocket INTO the sink.. and no i wasnt drunk so i have no phone now. i think my family/friends are frustrated with trying to get ahold of me.lol.
if anyone has an iPhone4 they would like to sell for a reasonable price, please message away!
i am so excited for NYE i get to see my favorite band play in San Francisco. I havent been in SF for NYE in years, mostly cause i'm always in shitty santa barbara, but this year the limousines are playing Popscene. my lady friend and i will most likely avoid DUIs by taking public transportation and getting shitfaced on the way and having an awesome time. yay!

i was recently dumped VIA facebook
... is it just me or is that pretty fucking immature?
so i was all set to go home, and instead i just headed to the amtrak station with all my things and hopped on the next train back to santa barbara. so here i am. this place is deserted. everyone went home for holiday, i think im the only human left? it's pretty lonely, but the isolation and the solace makes for good writing...
i am trying to scrounge together the $$$$$ to fly/drive/train it up to my family. i always find a way. i'm not worried about it. i just feel like lately my depression has been getting the best of me. crying spells, mood swings, etc. i don't know how to fucking control it. and my doctor is pushing, so much, so so much, for me to just take lithium, and i even gave in and said fine, but i still just stow them away in my drawer, untouched, because i feel that the lesser of the evils is being MYSELF as opposed to a ZOMBIE........however painful or eccentric or whateverthefuck i am.
i really want to just go home. im going crazy alone in this apartment. i shot a set with sean recently, it should be in the queue sometime. also going to shoot with my favey DarrylDarko once i'm home. hopefully i'll get the chance to catch up with my lady Rambo and smoke a big fat fucking much deserved blunt. i miss the bay.
anyway. sorry for bitching. i'm just in a rut. on the contrary though, i came out of finals quite well. i got my grades back, and they are better than satisfactory (which was what i was expecting) ... i get disappointed with myself if i get anything other than an A, the lowest grade i've received at UCSB was a C... in an upper division calculus class. so i'm alright with it.
anyway, if you havent seen this video that LiquidScience shot of me, you should watch it. Pretty sure i have a new girl crush on Sash ...... :x
so yeah, hello intranet world. i hope you are all well. i am slowly getting over pneumonia, i don't think my smoking and drinking habits help, but hey, they're hard to kick.

i guess i just feel like.. fuck.. dude.. this is gonna sound cliche,
but no one has acknowledged how utterly and completely sick i've been.
how sad i've felt, how much this past month has worn on me. and i guess i'll admit, i'm being a stupid girl craving attention or something. i'm like seeking this validation that someone gives a fuck. everything around me is burning down. i don't know how to deal with it. i just sleep a lot...and drink a lot... and take a lot of benzos... it's not healthy, i know.
but then again,
