He was alive rememember. But he had lost his memory, and was living in a nursing home of some sort. So she had found her one true love again finally, but he had no recollection of who she ever was.

I met her once. In L.A. We we're walking into some coffee shop as she came walking out. I held the door for her but she didn't say thanks. But then she stopped, looked back at me, took a sip of whatever it was she was drinking, smiled that heart melting smile of hers, and winked.
So yeah, I was in a movie with her for like 5 whole seconds at least. But then the credits rolled, and on her magical way she went.
