hmmmm, so what's new?


it's been getting cold here.... not a fan.

2 weekends ago we went to see bassnectar and pretty lights in atl. which was a good time, but while we were there, i realized there may have been only a hand full of people there who were older than us. is it wrong that i enjoy going to shows, or "raves" so much? i didn't think there was a certain age where you should quit having fun, but do i need to grow up?



speaking of, i want to be here so badly, pretty sure i can't make it happen though but seriously, could there possibly be a better way to bring in the new year?! i don't think so

started going to crossfit. its been great because its forced me to go to sleep earlier (i usually stay up all night for absolutely no reason), because i need to be there by 930am. after the first day, i couldn't walk for 2 days, but i already feel like i'm getting stronger and i'm hoping it'll help me stay in better shape over the winter.

this past weekend i was babysitting, and forgot about these awesome skillz i have...

and so i went to the store today, and bought massive amounts of string....

edited to add: i've had quite a few people message me about my mau5 head, and where i bought it. i made it, w/ the help of my mommy. actually, it was more like she made it, w/ the help of me she's crafty, and awesome like that. and it cost around $150 in supplies.

seriously, ScottSmallin and i had been talking about shooting this set for over a year, and it's finally up! Mau5trap, so leave some love if you feel so inclined

i'm amazed at how inconsiderate and deceiving some people can be, i guess i'm just that naive. trying not to let it get me down this weekend. life is all about learning, and i've learned a lot this past month. hope is good to have, but not something you should live your life by, and that's what i've always done.
anyhoo.... a good friend from high school who i haven't seen/talked to in a while just made a spur of the moment trip down here late last night from baltimore. it'll be nice to walk around the city and catch up. hope you all have a wonderful weekend. thanks for all the love last week no big changes, i think i need to make the little changes first, and see where it goes from there

i'm so excited about this, it's ridiculous ScottSmallin helped make my dream set come true! i hope you guys are just as excited, and don't forget to keep an eye out for it

i might be really fucking up what's been most important to me almost half my life. i'll lose a lot, and it might be a huge mistake. but at the same time, i feel like if it's a mistake, it's something i need to learn on my own rather than others telling me. it'll be a struggle, but that struggle will help me grow as a person. i'm filled w/ doubt either way.

my life might be turned upside down in the next week, and it'll be my fault. but who knows, it might be the right decision. or maybe there isn't a right decision. i guess i'll find out soon enough, wish me luck.

i received the best surprise ever from my boy. i came home from work tue night, and he told me to pack my bag because we were going to atl on wed to see deadmau5 i know, i feel like every other blog i write is about deadmau5, and i apologize, i think i have a problem. my boy booked a super nice hotel a block away from the venue. we were originally only planning to go to the show on wed. but after dinner on thur, we decided to go to the show on thur night as well. i'm super glad we did, because the show was even better the 2nd night! if you have the opportunity to see him live, don't turn it up, his shows are really amazing... you'll thank me

then yesterday on the way home, we stopped at a national park, and took a nap. we were both wiped out, it was cute

that picture pretty much sums up how i feel, sad and confused. everything in life i thought was certain, i'm not so sure of anymore. the past week or so have been exhausting to say the least. i'm sure everything will be ok, it always ends up that way, i just need to remind myself occasionally.

anyone do anything fun over this long weekend? i haven't done a damn thing. i was hoping to go to the beach tomorrow, but i think it's gonna rain, just my luck

yay, set of the day! thank you guys sooo much! <3 you all, you have no idea. i know this probably sounds really weird, but every time i've had a set make front page, i've felt so ugly. crazy, i know. but this site has some of the hottest women on the planet on it, and being on the front page just made me feel really self conscious. but i guess the third times a charm, and i'm not really feeling that way too much this time, and i'm actually feeling kind of proud. so thank you all from the bottom of my heart (cheesy, i know). i don't know if i'll ever have good self esteem, but you guys sure are helping and i'm sorry if i dont respond to everyone who leaves a comment on my set, or blog.... but i do read them, and i really do appreciate it

other than that, i just went through my facebook and made it so a bunch of peeps cant see my wall and whats posted on it. i've never had facebook drama, but now i see why everyone bitches about it. pretty much, 90% of my friends on there sent me a friend invite. so if they want to be my friend, they get me. i don't censor myself well, and apparently i'm inappropriate and don't know how to deal well w/ social stuff i just dont give a fuck..... haha, well kinda. idk, i've had a couple drinks, i'm probably not making any sense, so i'll just leave it at that. so thanks again!

just got back from the longest road trip of my life. drove up to pa for my birthday, 12hr drive. another 12hr drive from pa to chicago for lollapalooza, and back. almost 50hrs!!!! and so i have lots of photos to share, some of which i took, most of which my boy took.... i tend to forget when i'm having fun.

and so the 3rd was my birfday, i turned 28. it was the best bday to date! went out to dinner w/ fam and friends at the restaurant my boy worked at for 7yrs before we moved down here, so that was nice. then we went out for drinks, and then to a friend from high schools house. saw lots of old friends i wasn't expecting see, such a nice surprise!

and the evening ended like this...

so then the next day we made our way to chicago.

friday went to see skrillex, muse, and ratatat.

fri evening turned out to be one of the worst nights in my 12 yr relationship. everything's good now, and prob better than before, live and learn, right? but its unfortunate that the evening was wasted.

saturday we saw the deftones, the glitch mob, my morning jacket, and pretty lights.

that evening consisted of us meeting up w/ 2 brothers i've been playing socom w/ for almost 5 yrs. we went to the smart bar where mark farina was djing.

the foo fighters were playing in the club right above, and while my friends were outside smoking, i met pat smear! this is a huge deal for me because growing up i was obsessed w/ nirvana.


sunday deadmau5 was signing stuff at the autograph tent.

while standing in the huge ass line, it decided to pour! luckily my friend was quick to find trash bags.

but i met joel and he signed my mau5 head, so it was totally worth it!


i decided to take my mau5 head back to the hotel where it would be safe, instead of taking the chances of it getting destroyed at the show. we went back to the fest, and it was a huge mud pit. i decided to take off my flip flops instead of losing them in the mud, which proved to be a great idea.

while we were at the tent dancing to modeselektor, it started pouring even harder than before, it was absolutely insane. walking around in mud up to my ankles, i could feel other peoples lost flip flops under my feet
then it was off to see deadmau5, who's new set is nothing short of AMAZING. i only took one video, because i was scared to lose my phone in the 6 inches of mud i was standing in.

i was heartbroken to leave the set early, but i've never seen the foo fighters live, and had to catch the last 30min of that.
on the way back to the hotel, my boy took lots of pics of me and my muddy feet.

so all in all, Lollapalooza was a great time! i didn't see one show there i didn't enjoy. i love chicago! i'd seriously think about moving there if it wasn't so cold in the winter. i was sad to leave, and wish i had the money to be there this weekend as well for the comic con. i hope all the girls going though have a blast! all though i'm sure they will!



also, i've been listening to araabmuzik on repeat for the past week and a half, give it a listen!
