boyz.... i got em on the brain.

question, so the other boy i've been talking to is turning 30 this weekend. ima drive up there for a couple days, and spend it w/ him. 30 is supposed to be a big birfday, but idk what i'm supposed to be doing for it, since we're not really together. but i still feel like i should do something. help?

had a job interview, but not sure if i want to quit my current one. however, i did pass the drug test, first time in 13yrs that was possible

AND the really cool part about that is, i didn't even know i was going to take a drug test. ohhhhh yeeeaaaa!

i think i've finally decided what i want my next tattoo to be, i'm kind of excited about it. i'll wait to share till after it happens.... whenever that may be.

If you feel like you should be doing something for his 30th birthday maybe there is something going on between the two of you and you should really be together? just a random and uninformed thought. You talk with him, what does he enjoy doing that you could do with him for his 30th? You could drive (not literally) and take him out of his comfort zone and get creative or just go along with what he wants to do that makes his day special.

For me spending quality time with the person that makes me happy every day is all I need for my birthday, but all us boyz are not alike.

And gratz on passing the test... lol!

as others have said, just making the trip is a great present ... i would be majorly happy if someone like you did something like that for me ... and being present when you're there is a good present ... some gesture is also cool ... like taking him to dinner ... or bringing a cake ... everybody likes a cake on their birthday, at least i do.....

Being 30 is just like being 29, only it takes a while before you want to tell anyone how old you are.

If you aren't together with this guy, don't make a big deal of 30, the fact that you're making the trip up to spend the time is probably the most telling thing. You could always get him something as well, but keep it simple.

30 seems like a big deal for exactly one day, and then you move on. I'm closing in on 40, and that doesn't even seem like a big deal. Having a child, moving a long distance, getting married... those things make a bigger difference.
