Its time to go back to school soon ... I have been thinking a lot between Film school and Midwifery school. Not that it necessarily needs to be one or the other...but which first? I'm going to check them out more this week and go for it.
I have taken the last couple years off from nursing to experience more. I am so much more mentally balanced and happy without the rigid parameters of generic work schedules. I love nursing though. I love public health and small clinics with no money but the right intention....I love dancing too. It rights all my molecules more perfect than anything besides true love. I love to take pictures - more accurately, I love to capture what I see...I want to make moving pictures that combine sound and visual beauty in a way that moves like my mind.

It's liberating and exhilerating to learn new things, use and experience them and then to continue on with that process, on to other challenges while still holding on to what you know.
The good thing is that you gather up all these valuable things you learn throughout life and use them as a whole.

It's been a thinking kind of day...

Put up some new candids today....

I think it's pretty cool that Sean is thinking about expanding the Burlesque tour. I would SO be on that.

I'm super excited to dance in France and am thinking that maybe I will forgo the dancer housing (other than to hold my costumes and such) for some of the time and see what happens. My friend 5x is winging it. He's good at that.

I need to do something with my clean laundry before it gets incorporated back into the 'unknown, better wash it pile'....My cat Gary Payton keeps PEEING everywhere. He's mad that there is a new dog and cat in the house. We're working it out, but Geez!! I hate that smell!!!! puke

A Dream I Had .....

I am in Seattle. In a house at first... (I swear it was the house with the really huge tree of that dumb weed dealer)...and there is a earthquake, only it's slow motion and everything is falling and collapsing slowly, the ceiling caving in on one side and the furniture sliding down and getting caught in the crevice between wall and floor until another slight shift and more stuff sliding and letting go and falling off and people scrambling in real time, trying to dodge the debris as they escape from the building. Using the hanging ceiling and broken walls to climb up and out, moving up while even the whole building is sinking into the ground very slowly. People panicking around me. I feel definately in the moment, but strangely able and focused and am trying to get out without pulling debris down on other people or grabbing the wrong thing that will come down on top of me. I keep in mind that I must move up faster than than things are falling down, in order to survive.
Part way through, I am now downtown Seattle and in a high rise but still in the same predicament until finally I get out and am running and am racing and people everywhere are running and losing their heads and crisscrossing in front of me and we're all in our own worlds and only just a few trucks speeding by and maneuvering past the debris and I am running while in my head gauging the buildings and streets around me and strategizing which route will get me out the quickest, being the least traveled, as well as posing the least threat of danger from falling wreckage.
I flag down a truck which only slows to a roll. I jump in the back and we fly out of the city, passing through debris filled streets and burning buildings.

I escaped. I was clearheaded and strategic. In retrospect, my dream would make a cool video game.

The end eeek

Side Car to Early Morning Ride along a Cool Long Stretch of Miguelway

Eyes locked but wavering
Sliding back and forth
Holding us firmly together
And also floating away
From
Each other

We drop into a steep K-Hole
Like giants
Made of armored steel.
Plaited for battle
Seeing it all
Beneath the glistening trail
Translucent and wet
Left behind,
Blanketing
All that was before them.

Feeling all as
Distance carries them away

Sticky

And never
Quite
Close
Enough.

Tangled
Enriched, engorged shapes
Of massive metal
Moving slowly to the pulse
Of thick, hot blood
Sliding
Through wet steel.

High sideways eyes.
Slow sexy lazy smiles
Share air
Hold it in…..
Religious experience.
Mmmmmmmmm
Yeeeeaaaaaaahh.
We take turns
Pulling each other along.

Take our time with arriving.

Gone
Before
Departing.

Simultaneously convening together.

Sweaty.
Cocooned within
A sea
Of weightless
Rainbow drops
Clinging to our bodies
Forcing us
To imagine in fast forward.

We grasp for the hand with the hose

Breathing deeply
Of each other
Reaching further
Deeper
Inside

The mind.

Absorbed in living,
Our minds move freely
While our souls
Hold tight.
For real.

And we are Powerful
Impenetrable
Beasts

Of past and future.

Traveling
Together.
Epic journeys
Spanning seasons
Windy with dust.

The more we get
The more we want
To
Be lost
In its blissful
Fury
Of abandon.

I like Coldplay a lot. I saw their show at the Gorge this summer, which I fell peacefully asleep to under the setting sun beneath a drape of lingering summer heat and venue beer.
I am a reborn sould this minute having been in NEED of new music, which I imagined would be doused on my parched ears in the form of some unknown artist.
It's like my birthday. I am watching Coldplay live on DVD from a show I don't know where....
I am floored and amped and in love and apparently high as hell on what I see and hear and feel right now. I love how fucking INTO it and lost they are in the music.. They are so fucking into it - I LOVE that....It's me when I dance till I'm lost, smiling, eyes shut abandon. It is beauty and bliss and energy all lined up right and good. Perfect with lights, colors flashing pulse, extending repeating, reinventing and losing itself.

Ohmygod I needed this..
