Hello I'm making a come back slowly but surely to SG land.

Guess I was exhausted from moving and the winter time and just crazy personal stuff going on. It's been a cold winter don't you think. Literally and figuratively.

So my knee x-ray came back ok. Figures! About 2 weeks ago I hurt my knee playing frisbee and haven't been able to fully extend my leg since. I don't know what's up. Now I have to wait 3 more weeks and if there is still no improvement then I'll get an MRI.

Man, Tim has me watching The Thing tonight! One of his top 2 favorite movies. It's pretty good actually - Kirk Douglas' first movie. He looked pretty good back then. Tim tried to get me to watch Dawn of the Dead but all the spurting gore and blue grey people were too much for me. A little too gross. The pure over the top gore was kinda funny and really sick. Some types of sick stuff I love, such as assisting in bloody surgeries and such. Not the case in movies I guess.

So I have new favorite snacks. Japanese gummies!!!!



And Trader Joe's chocolate pudding! But Pickles are still my all time favorite snack since unless I can count hot sauce as a snack....

I'm going to go back downstairs and cuddle up with my boyfriend under mounds of down comforters to finish our scary movie fest. Soon we are going to insulate this house better because right now it is FREEZING! Days in bed because it's too cold to come out, Woohoo!!

So, SO beautiful!! I have been listening to this song over and over. I really love Band of Horses and I only just started listening to them even though they have been out for a little while. Phew! I almost missed out altogether and that would have been really sad.

Hello I haven't been around sg much lately because I'm distracted!



BUSY! I'm busy!!

As you can see from my recent journal posts...my photobucket account was deleted by my new boyfriend's ex girlfriend. It's sad but true. I'll get some new pics up soon but in the meantime, I have tons of candids in my pics folder here.

Hey, I need some of the new SG playing cards because I am the 8 of diamonds and I want to have a deck but I gave them all away thinking I would just buy some more. Why aren't they in the shop I wonder? If any of you have a deck to spare for me, that would be so great Message me!

So Tim and I are moving in together next month. I would really love to move to Georgetown, less people more industrial, old brick buildings and rusted out cars. I like that. I'm tired of burnt out 9 to 5ers and their intolerant attitudes.

I have been really busy packing and looking for a place... I have so much to do, it's hard to imagine stopping for Thanksgiving to drive to Portland but we'll see.

We had our party last week and it was SO good! So many people came and we didn't get out of there until 9:30 the next morning. Ana Sia rocked it and Nova was off the hook!! Man, he just keeps getting better and dirtier and grimier. Yum.

Anything can happen.... the best of the best.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Some of my favorite things right now......sleep/food/sleep/food, dancing, kissin and runnin around. The new Beirut cd, changing leaf colors, my goodgood friends, warm jackets on cold days, the Fly restauramt. cleaning house, getting rid of accumulated CRAP....buying a sweetass old vintage PACKARD. Yep.

Change is good.

I am registering at Seattle Midwifery school tomorrow for their Doula program. Doulas assist mothers before, during and after their labor. The program is just 6 classes but will be a really nice way to ease back into health care without having to work part or full time. I will be able choose how many clients I want to take, which could be one or many. It will also give me a chance to check out Seattle Midwifery School to see if I love it or not. I'm just not ready to give up my beautiful free life quite yet to the obligation of more nursing school which would be 6 days a week, 8 to 10 hours a day. Not yet. Soon. Maybe in 1 - 2 years.

So that's pretty exciting to at least be doing something new and stimulating for my grey matter.

Getting my carpets cleaned tomorrow and I'm REALLY excited. Ooh boy they need it! Had a friend stay while I was away and her dog peed in my daughter's room ELEVEN times!! I wasn't here, obviously. At what point does a person say 'Oh no, my dog needs to go outside, I feel really horrible that he is messing all over my hosts house!' After 11 times???????? In my daughter's room????!!! Unbelievable.

I ordered 2 magazines from the shop today. I know that staff will send me a few complimentary copies but I was excited to see them and can always give them away.

Hey, I asked once before but only got one response so I am asking again: Ask me questions!!!!! I'm compiling questions and then I'll answer them for a video Q&A.

This is a long update. Hope your computer didn't sieze up.

Oh guess what? Jo aka Scrumtious Scoop and are going to go to India or Thailand next. Probably over the new year. We were going to go in November but now I am doing the Doula class but nevertheless it is coming up and I am excited. Neverthelesss! I crack myself up.

Ooh I had the best salad today. I love Trader Joe's and Jo and I went there twice yesterday. We got Stilton Cheese with apricots, herb salad and strawberries. Made a salad with all of the above plus Goddess dressing which is AMAZING. Soooooooooooo good! MMMmmmm

My longest post for ages. Congratulations to me.

Goodnight SG land, I'm going to go read my new SUPER GOOD book, The Pearl Diver. Got a whole bunch of really exciting new books yesterday actually. The unabridged Bram Stoker's Dracula, a hard cover photo book, a sewing book and craft book for Flea, Perfume by Patrick Suskind, Imagining Argentina by Lawrence Thornton and Tipping the Velvet by Sarah Walters. I love to read and I was seriously in need of a good book.

I'm back!! Miguel drove the entire way home because I was WAY out of commission. Spent the last couple of days at Summerlake hotsprings which was beautiful like always. I got myself way too drunk on Tequila and was in poor form for the last night...sorry everyone! We now all have new nicknames for each other now: Miguel is Dirt, named after a crazy night on the playa where we lost each other when he took a dirt nap in the middle of all of us dancing. Mine is Stick, named after my crazy tequila outburst, the end result was a tangly head of sticks and hair. And Jo's is Srumptious Scoop and I just won't go there...
