omg my new house is haunted or something. woke up last night because my bedroom door was slammed shut. woke me and my boyfriend up. we were trying to figure out how the hell it happened. then after my boyfriend left for work i was trying to go back to sleep and it happened again! wtf? my cat was out in the bedroom so she couldn't have done it because if she pushed on the door it would have opened instead of shut. my door doesn't go that way. it didn't happen the last three days i was here. i was watching some ghost hunting show and my boyfriend was telling me how they are just hoaxes. i dont necessarily believe in ghosts or whatever but i was trying to play the devil's advocate and we were debating the possibility of ghosts immediately before we went to sleep.

got my infusion later today. sitting here waiting to leave.

i hope they don't poke me more than once today.

afterward i am going to buy my boyfriend his christmas present. he wants a belt sander. i have no idea what that is.

i wonder what it does.

I think you're really brave! I am super scared of ghosts I would have been in a hotel or with my Momma before I could fall asleep again. lol.

Maybe it is air conditioning! At my old apartment and this one, when the air kicks on it pulls some of the doors closed.

What are the odds it's the A/C or something like that kicking in? That's not a good start to your new place. But you never know, it could all turn out to be nothing. Where did you guys say you're living now? Maybe I'll look into it. I do study such things like this at an amateur level of course

I second airflow being the culprit. Either an Air Conditioner or a window being open somewhere else in the house...you should try propping your door open with something, that should fix the problem, or shutting it completely closed and leaving the cat out.
BTW, belt sander equally large "power sander" (think power tools in general), used to make sanding large objects easier. Your local Home Depot, or a similar store, will have them

If you find whatever draft or vent in the house that creates a vortex, you'll find what is slamming the door.

I recommend a black and decker sander.

tools I can understand but socks are another matter. You don't realize how much you like socks until you wear a horrible pair.

Seconded it's probably the wind. You cnn always put a hook on the door, that should keep it from slamming.

Or set up a video camera to watch the door?

Men like power tools and AV equipment. It does not even matter if we need them. We still want them.

As for the door slamming, just put sopmething heavy up against the door. We have this problem at out house in Cabo San Lucas, and use a rock. You could use a belt sander instead of a rock.
